2013 Is Starting Off To Be A Good Year For American And Chinese Steelmakers [View article]
CHOP is not a standard steelmaker, they are running rather niche business (ultra thin steel sheets, chromium coated strips etc.). Indeed they are chinese - therefore they are guilty by association by many (look at their valuation), but hey, they are issuing guidances and earnings correlated to the industry. I have researched this company extensively, their fillings and stuff, and haven't discovered red flags.
Shares of Spectrum Pharmaceuticals (SPPI -0.7%) slip after Credit Suisse initiated the shares with a tepid Neutral rating ealier this morning. The firm says its concerned about the impact of increased competition from Leucovorin, which is a generic SPPI's Fusilev. Sales of Fusilev may decrease from 2012 highs and limit near-term stock performance, and Credit Suisse feels it's more prudent to take a wait-and-see approach and look to buy SPPI once there's greater visibility. I thought this old false proven short agenda repeated ad nauseam over and over (and it never worked actually) is over and done. Now Credit Suisse springs this out :) Wait and see approach... yeah right. I see them raising their ratings and price targets furiously AFTER sppi hits 20 dollars mark.

Simply. Just short all you can borrow even for 25%/year. GNI will suddenly drop 50%+ one day. Check WHX in 2012, for example (another royalty trust with 2015 end date traded at unbelievable premium just half a year ago).

I have listened to DEYU Q2 CC and actually it was in engrish :/ The problem with DEYU (along with being investor unfriendly, chinese discount, less transparency etc) is apparently thin trading and wide spreads. Makes this investment quite illiquid. I find CHOP (among stocks mentioned) as a best option in (relative) terms of transparency, business legitimity, profitability and growth, also being much more liquid with reasonable spreads.
