  • Hi-Crush Partners in 3.26M-unit secondary offering, -4.5% AH [View news story]
I hate secondary offerings. I have been investing for over 64 years and still get sick to my stomach when it happens. I have had some positions that have stalled for years. That aside, and hopefully it is, this outfit is in good position and I think it will recover.

As for how low the price of oil has to get:

It will have to get so low the companies stop fracking and go into the sandbox business. They have contracts that, unless I am wrong, they are obligated to meet. They will have to do something with that sand. I am old and not on top of my game as I once was but In think we have already sold them the sand. I think we are good for 70% of the business for 5 years.

    Bahram,

You may want to consider seeking advice from an investment firm. Generally speaking it is not a good long term strategy to put all your cash into one investment. On the other hand, Apple is not a bad place to start.

Best of luck to you on your investments.

    JMAJORIS,

My question was "tounge in cheek" but thanks for commenting.

    Crunching numbers

At least you are trying to make money rather than holding dead money.

I got out of my small position in this dog as I never hold dead money. Used the money as well as other money to buy HK on the dip.

I am not sure if much of anything will move up for a bit but HK's report was encouraging.

    So Steve,

So I should sell at a loss at 3.70 what you state in another article as being a stock that is undervalued at 3.40?

I have 12 positions I have held for over 60 years. On the other hand, patience is not always a virtue. I have a sell order in at 3.80 but was just seeing if there was anybody out there with a vision of hope . Apparently not.

    I bid you all farewell.

Lots of praise for the product. The stock is going for around 3.45. Anybody loading up? It don't sound like it. What it sounds like is this: man, this is a great product, lots of room for growth and little to no competition. What's that you say? You actually purchased some at 3.45? Ha! Ha! HA! You have to be kidding! You stupid or something!

Anybody see this stock going to 6?

I am rather old but still travel. I have an unlimited plan on my phone. Not sure how that even relates to the music because I use my I pod. I have found its rather hard to find a good 40's station so I just listen to my downloaded music. Rather than plowing through the guardrail while trying to find something on the 6000 channels that is worth listening to I would rather just listen to what I enjoy.

Unfortunately for me, in a weak moment, I let a whipper snapper talk me into buying some stock in this company. My hope is to get back what I put in. I doubt this will happen. It must have had an amazing report this time though. It was up 2 cents a few hours ago.

I got out as well. So, at what price does one get back in? I am thinking 8.50. Perhaps I am getting to old to understand all of this but I can not help but wonder how the stock would be doing had WIN announced a 30% cut in the dividend? I lost about 35 cents a share tring to read through the stuff to find out what was going on.

I was born in 1930 and over the years have grown very fond of the US currency. I do not see that changing anytime soon. At least, not in my lifetime.

Man, how depressing! I am one of them old people. I read some dispair and much sarcasm in some of the comments but find it to be humorous at the same time. I will say this: If you think the US dollar will become worthless and therefore you need to hoard gold--- boy will you be in for a surprise!

Buy low and sell high. Make money.

I have held a core position in SLW and traded around it for some time now. While it is not by any means my largest position it has been the most fun.
