The Nasdaq-100 is not an "odd" index. It's comprised of the 100 largest Nasdaq-listed companies. The ArcaTech 100 is not comparable. It's sector-specific and QQQQ is exchange-specific. Your criticism is equivalent to faulting DIA for holding only the Dow 30 and then suggesting that IYW is a better pick.

BSC was not able to fail because of the potential ripple effect it would have on the financial industry as a whole. It was also an excellent short and the fact that it didn't go flatout bankrupt doesn't change that.

It would be "downright imprudent" to buy these companies at any price. F is in the midst of an overextended bounce. Choose a timeframe and load up on some cheap puts.
