  • GDXJ Is No Longer My Favorite Gold Miner ETF, SGDJ Takes The Cake [View article]

Would you say that the selection process for SGDJ does not include consideration of country/political risk? Some of their holdings I would be leery of based on where they operate. Same for the other Au/Ag ETF's.

  • Sandstorm Gold: Cheap, But At What Cost? [View article]
SAND recently reported results and gave guidance saying that attributable production would not increase over the next several years. Therefore, growth in revenues will only come with an increase in the price of gold. If one believes the price of gold will rise, why not buy companies and that benefit from that rise AND with increased production?

If GDX is preferred over individual miner stocks, wouldn't GDXJ be preferred over GDX? More leverage.

Ben: This is more of what I'm looking for. But I really want to see a recommended list of companies with operations in the US and Canada, and only Klondex qualifies. Can you do that? And add silver companies?

  • Gold Stocks Roundup - NFL Edition [View article]
Charles: This is a fun read, as well as informative. Thanks for your effort.

I want to see someone, maybe you, publish a watch/buy list of gold and silver stocks limited to Canada and the U. S. (to reduce political risk). You could make it your list of draft prospects, or trade targets.

  • Will SLV Reach A New Low? [View article]
Lior: You say "a recovery in the U.S. economy reduces the appeal of silver."

I'm guessing you mean, because an improving economy would hasten the timing and size of a rate increase.

However, here is another, antithetic, potential outcome: I believe I read where approximately half of silver purchased is for industrial use. If that's true, an improving economy would mean increased demand for silver for that use.
