  • American Realty Capital Properties: Plenty Of Salsa, But Not Yet A SWAN [View article]
    RWM,
Totally agree with what you just said. I am watching them daily.

I plan to trim some of the stocks which are not growing dividend. I am making the list and checking their ex-date... I know I am still having emotional problem. NLY is one of them. It is hard not to hope that they will do the right thing. ----Small

  • The Young And Restless Retirement Portfolio: Stay The Course [View article]
    RS,

Thanks for all you did for young generation. I bought ZNGA for 6 and 8 years old g. kids. I also bought it for their mom. Because I think they will have fun together for a long period of time. I also have small amount of it. I like the up and down of it. It is better than boring stocks. This is the only one made me laugh /saying "who cares" once in a while. Because it is cheap and I only have small amount.

I like your choice of GOOG and YHOO. I have a question of AMZN.
After I followed SA (last year) and learned from all of you, I found out AMZN cash flow is not as strong as GOOG, MSFT..... So, now I am totally out of AMZN, but still like this company and use it. I wish one of these days, it will consider provide share holders some dividend.
Just a wish. Thank you again. ---Small

  • Are You Holding Overvalued Stocks And Wondering If It's Time To Sell? [View article]
    rich,
I have BKCC for more than 2 years. It did well for me for this period of time. Recently just have a little click, click on mind want to take it off from Portfolio. I agree with you, we need to prepare for going to the south. No one would know when but if we still have time to make our choice, just do it. Yes, we should not marry to any stock--that is emotional investing. Thanks for your wise advice.

Thanks Brad for this article and coming up newsletter. I always got benefits from reading your writings. Your research is trustful. Thanks.

I also would like to listen to your opinion on AGNC. I did not see you posted anything on this or NLY related articles recently. I know you are extremely busy but your voice has heavy influence on my REITs holding. I am sure a lot of people also like to hear from you. Thank you. ---Small

  • Dividend Growth Investors - Prepare For The Correction [View article]
    Cranky,
Thanks for warning and wrote this article for us to think.

I am not sure why I am not really worry like several years ago. I think I should thanks SA authors and great friends here who lead me into the right path. I trust my own setting of this long term portfolio. Certainly, I still have some work to do and some correction here and there. But I am more confidence of facing the pull down this time. May be it is terrible to say, I am certainly waiting for some great stocks correction, because I plan to get in. Am I weird??

    Here is my plan:

    --Prepare the cash;
--Do deeper research of core holdings. Waiting for good days to get in more.
--Do clean cut of those not qualified for my long-term goal stocks.
    ........
Yes, we all can predict this and that, but each individual has his/her own goal in investment. History will not repeat exactly as what we heard or saw, but we can always learn the lessons from last time.

I am learning, still learning. I respect to all friends here who have a good back up plan and always do great prevention steps. These are the experiences I need. Thanks for sharing. ---Small

  • How Can One Trade Be Both Good For Me And Bad For Me? [View article]
    DVK,

Wow, another wise advice. Thank you very much. I think this is really important for me to read your advice again and again. I am puzzling and guessing that you should be a lawyer. You know too much about everything. It is good because I can get lot of benefits from reading your postings without sitting in law classroom. haha, thanks!

The good news is, I am checking my old rules and go through each single stocks I have this week. Separate the core holdings with secondary, even third level of stocks. It is good time to do it when market is so boring. I would never think my retirement life will involve so much on learning new things like investment. Thanks again DVK. ---Small

  • How Can One Trade Be Both Good For Me And Bad For Me? [View article]
    Smart_Pants,

Your wise advice will change my lazy habit. I have been reading your postings and your personal history. it is very interesting background. I love to use my brain especially after retired. It is as having a medicine, seems I am still "young". But I am also have a bad habit, did not really want to follow rules. You pushed my button.

I have enough experiences in my life following regulation, confidential rules, passing tests for being a state employee... especially grew up in Communist country, I have to follow the rules daily to avoid costing trouble for my family. I am sure you and a lot of people are also following companies, military....rules. You are having tougher rules than I am. Now I found out I am acting like real American, complain all the time. I better change my behavior. You bring up the important point here. I will cool down and set up clear rules. Without clear rules, the future will be foggy and the mission will never be accomplished.

Thanks for allowed me to "blame" the rules(I set them up). haha. Good idea. Another American Way to do things right! ha! Thanks for offer me that excuse. You know me too much!!! hahha.

    Miz,
I always admire whatever you(and Chowder) said on commentary area. I laughed, I nodded my head, sometimes, I talked to the computer... all just wanted to react to your great personality and your clear thinking. (I hope my neighbors were not watching me.), oh, well, who cares. As long as I learn something everyday.

You might not realize this, your opinion(plus others who are speaking from the hearts) have an important weight on my investment. I am sure a lot of people love to hear from you. Please keep writing.

Thank you SA for opening the door for us and I am certainly will do mouth to mouth marketing for recruiting my friends and family come and join SA. Just love this friendly and positive place. What else I need? I just feel so lucky to know all of you and learn so much from you all. Thanks again. ----Small
