Gold "virtually useless" in hyperinflation scenario ? Can't agree Dan P. Hyperinflation implies confetti money and gold moves inversely to paper currency (not just USD) devaluation. The use gold will have in hyperinflationary times will be as the only currency having any value at all. Which is why ownership of it will be outlawed, as it was in the 1930s.
