  • Apple Must Send The Right Message [View article]
I guess my question is how experienced are you in making anything in product development innovative ? Have you ever risked capital on a dream, an idea and made it work?

Having worked for Apple and been honored to be in the beginning of forming a new product division, my sense is Apple is still innovative & will continue to excel on it's core mission. To be the best in all they do.

  • Is Apple (AAPL) behind an effort to build a giant chip plant in upstate New York? On behalf of an unnamed tech manufacturer, Deloitte has been pitching officials on a plant that could cost ~$10B to build, the Albany Times Union recently reported. Speculation has revolved around Apple, which is widely believed to be planning to migrate app processor production from Samsung to TSMC (TSM). TSMC has said it could build a plant dedicated to a single client, though Qualcomm could fit that bill as easily as Apple. [View news story]
Ok you people..AMD is the client who started the discussions with the State of New York to build a chip plant there and receive a substantial tax credit from the state. As the market has deteriorated and AMD has lost money q/q and y/y the status is not known by this old recruiter who used to work for AMD.

  • A "quality-control crackdown" at Foxconn related to iPhone 5 (AAPL) scratches is making shortages worse, a source tells Bloomberg. The report meshes well with earlier reports of labor disturbances caused by workers unhappy with Foxconn's quality-control rules. Interviewed workers claim each step in the iPhone 5 production process brings with it the potential for scratches to its aluminum back. The iPhone 4 and 4S use glass casing rather than aluminum. [View news story]
I agree with Banjoman that the pundits continue to savage Apple to create volatility for their own gains. It is sad to see on the anniversary of Steve's death that Tim Cook continues to be second guessed on his strategic management of Apple.

  • Piper's Gene Munster details the reasons he sees Apple (AAPL -0.6%) reaching $1,000 over the next couple of years. Among them: a completely redesigned iPhone; an Apple TV set going for $1,500-$2,000; limited iPhone subsidy cuts (partly due to the low churn rates of iPhone users); continued margin strength; China demand; soaring tablet sales; and enterprise Mac/iOS adoption.  [View news story]
I agree with Piper's analysis and Capt Wisdom...having worked at Apple I have learned to never underestimate their crystal ball and UI...most follow on competitors are copy cats ...if half of what Piper states comes true....we will see $850.00 a share in 2013.

  • DRYS: Shipper of the Global Commodities Boom [View article]
I have been tracking DRYS & FRO for the past three months and bought it from 110.00 down to $56.00. Now for the ride back up and $$$$ all the way to the bank. It is an amazing stock and FRO is the dividend king of the season.
