    BP amazes me in that the stock appears in just about any article about dividends yet the stock hasn't moved since the market decline. If you look at BP's dividend history it appears the management is good enough to continue the dividend because the payout is low enough. My 401k is with BP so I have accumulated several shares over the years. My yield is over 10% and I feel fairly confident in BP.
    One thing to think about and that is your money will double every 7 to 9 years on the dividend alone. $200,000 worth of BP at $39 will get you over $18,000 in dividends per year. That coupled with Social security is not to bad.
