  • 2013 "production expectations" for the Z10 (BBRY -1.2%) have been trimmed by 4M-6M units, believes Wedge Partners' Brian Blair, who has been bearish on BlackBerry for years. He adds U.S. Z10 launches " have provided no evidence of meaningful sell-through," and is forecasting <10M 2013 BB10 shipments vs. Street estimates of 20M+. Meanwhile, Pac Crest's James Faucette (previous) believes U.S., U.K., and Canadian Z10 inventories are too high, and that production cuts are a matter of time. Also: BlackBerry says the Q10 is expected to sell for a subsidized $249 in the U.S., $50 more than the 16GB iPhone 5. [View news story]
    pretty smart to sell the q10 for a premium . . .
lets have a look how many people are paying that premium - wouldn't wonder there are still a lot of those people out there ;)

  • Short Squeeze A Side Show, Buy Rim's Shares For BB10 Market Share Upside [View article]

we will see how it will come and I remember when banks told me not to buy RIMM stocks when it was at $7
they told me RIMM is dead and that I will loose all my money - surprisingly they keep on telling the same story even when RIMM hit $18 . . . and say that my investment was more than risky and I could be lucky that I have made some money. . .

  • Will The RIM-Pire Strike Back? [View article]
first article that acknowledges the strength of QNX and the possible effect for RIMM.

Also investors should have a look at stats from BB JAM WORLDTOUR.

Hear what developers are saying about the system and than judge based on that rather on what analysts (who are mostly using BB) are writing.
If some of them would have spent some time out their instead of sitting in their office reading research other have done they would have a much better view on what is going on at RIMM.

  • Research In Motion's (RIMM +1.9%) estimates keep heading lower. The latest to cut is RBC's Mark Sue, who thinks RIM will sell just 9M BlackBerrys in the May quarter, down from 11.1M in FQ4. Sue thinks RIM is in danger of seeing its global smartphone share fall below 5%, and that its loss of scale will lead to further operating margin erosion, with cash burn possible next year.  [View news story]
    lets be objective :

which company ever managed it to sell a product while they are telling the buyer that it will be be old in about half year time.

It might work in emerging markets but in 1st world countries - impossible. only business customers will buy.

That is what everyone hast to take into consideration.

Are their any reports that iPad 2 sales went down before the release of iPad 3? . . . Yes. . . so that tells everything because here we see a new system that will not be running on the "old" os7 devices
