Finmah - you are so correct it's sickening. Doesn't anybody with half a brain know this ?
Even Phil is so hung up on Bush bashing it's absurd. There are approx 545 people in thei country that basically run it. Yet Bush gets all the press. Bad enough the rest do very little except screw things up yet nobody blasts them.

A Self-Serving Non-Solution to Negative Equity in America

What a bunch of whiny ass cry babies. Welcome to the real world of reality, financial resposibility and common sense.
I've worked hard for everything I have - why in the hell should I be expected to bail out anyone because they were basically stupid, gullible, greedy, etc.
I never bought anything I couldn't afford and I worked until I could.
In the early days I saved until I could pay cash.
And you can bet your ass I was making a hell of a lot less money then any of you and all the "poor" idiots that that they were getting something for nothing.
If their poor kids are starving in this country I'll bet they haven't given up theri dope, booze or cars.
Let nature remove them from the gene pool - they won't be missed.
How's that for a hard hearted son of a bitch ?
And I probably donate as much or more to charity than most of you and if someone truly in need of help I don't hesitate.

What I Like About Dividend Achievers

So at the end of 10 YEARS your gain on the total return would have been $1500 more than the S&P ?????
Astoundingly unimpressive. I love dividends but if I can't do better than these I'll go back to CD's.

Very good -I like that - I took a DeVry TV repair course under the GI Bill a long time ago - each time I passed a lesson I could get paid about $20. I did build a 27 inch color TV though which at that time retailed for about $800 and it was all vacuum tubes !!!

Some of you people must have been born yesterdsay - or came from another planet. We have been through this before and at the time you doomsayers were predicting the end of everything. Take a REAL look at the 30's through the 90's. I've lived through it - I doubt few of you have. The only big difference is the gov has become so used to handing out money to anyone that whines loud enough, if we are going to have a BIG problem - that will be it.
