      It is the environment that brings out the creativity in a person, put him in another company he may not be producing the kind of stuff he can at Apple.

      @atauber, goog do not produce any physical product, it is a cloud company and I don't think Ive is good at web designing or coding.

      Missing: 200 Million Yahoo! Shares from Last Friday's Annual Meeting
      Yahoo owed their allegiance to the shareholders to make money for them in the long term but not to sell off the company for a one time profit. If the shareholders feel that Yahoo is not doing things to their interest they can sell their Yahoo shares and move on.

      Apple vs. Bank of America: When "Whisper Numbers" Come Home to Roost
      One thing I believe is Apple is the darling of shorts and these guys have been making money shorting it normally after the quarterly financial report. They are so blatant about it they don't care and the excuse they use is lowball forecast but didn't they realise that Apple consistently met the forecast of the street quarter after quarter.

      Steve Jobs' Health: A Red Herring
      My take on the succession plan - if Apple do come out with a succession plan there will be more sell off because it literally says that there is something wrong with Jobs.
      And when there is no succession plan being announced doesn't mean there is no succession plan at Apple.
      For a company as successful as Apple it is in the interest of the management team to make sure that its success continue to run as far as possible into the future otherwise it is as good as killing the goose that lay the golden eggs.

      Apple Will Flourish With or Without Steve Jobs
      My take on this is a visionary leader like Jobs will plan at least 5 years or more down the road. Snow Leopard the next OS didn't happen by chance neither is the 2mp camera in the iPhone. Licensing Exchange from MS has its purpose. They may even be laying the groundwork for cloud computing now, etc..
      For me the best is yet to be, based on the legacy of Steve Jobs.

      Apple users are not sheep, they know what works and work doesn't, they can differential great user experience with crappy experience. They love their computers and after years of usage they still fetch great values in ebay.

      I am 5 years backward looking and this is what i saw AppleTV will be like the iPod, all your movies in 1 device.

      The IT manager head will roll once the management notice the costs of using RIM is higher if not much higher than Exchange.
