  • Tuesday Outlook: Unremarkable Volume, Breadth [View article]
Head and Shoulders top in India? No way. Only a very short-term analysis would ever jump to that conclusion based on the totally random gyrations of a closed end fund chart. Take a look at the more naturally trading ETF charts please. IFN trades in a very strange way based on supply and demand dynamics that have nothing to do with the underlying value of the companies in the fund.

  • Stay Clear of Traditional Asset Classes  [View article]
Wow, for a fairly typical bearish commentary similar to many others I've read in the last 9 months, this was a pretty good piece. I actually found myself reading most of it. I think I kept reading because you made a solid recommendation of Chinese and Latin American stocks which are clearly a great value at current levels. So, you're a reasonable fellow.

  • Good Times and Bad Times in Gold [View article]
Calling any move in gold correctly is always pure luck. There aren't too many fundamental factors you can look at other than sentiment (which is a very subjective task). It's not like a stock where you can build a model to try and determine earnings a few years out. That's why I hate trading gold. The only way to try and guess which way its going to go next is to look at what the price is doing now. A pointless, fruitless exercise in my opinion.

  • Who's to Blame for the Commodities Boom? [View article]
I know this is hard to believe...but the Chinese get hungry, invest, drive cars, and buy jewelry too. Is that so bad?

  • Dear Mr. Bernanke [View article]
Yeah you're smarter than Bernanke. It's also clear that you must be privy to ALL the information he had on the grave systemic financial risks that could have potentially brought down the entire global financial system. Because if you were, I have no doubt that I would want you to head the Federal Reserve and do absolutely nothing in the face of this crisis. Even guys like Buffett have trouble bringing Bernanke's actions in to question on this one. Not impressed with this commentary. You're just reiterating all the crap we've already heard and there is nothing new here. I'm sorry I wasted my time.

  • Gold: The Last Cheap Asset Class [View article]
1 in 10,000 investors own gold...are you crazy? GLD and IAU are held very widely. You're delusional if you don't think everyone has been talking about gold. I overheard two old ladies talking about gold at Walmart and another middle class couple talking about silver over lunch just in the last week. Anecdotal, I know. But I think you need to do a bit more research before you make outlandish claims that discredit your argument.
