no doubt, the HYP, Standford and MIT are all hurting. Most of them had insituted free tuition for middle class kids who got in. That's going to hurt these elite U's more.
That's a good question! The hundreds of $b spent on share repurchases by corporations would be much better spent as dividends, especially for most NAS companies without dividends. CSCO comes to mind.
