Didn't Steve Haley state in the conference call that Celsius would be at "net income profitability" in 2010? Either he is a complete liar or there is some truth to this statement. After all, he is the CEO. I think patience will prevail on Celsius from an investment perspective. It is certainly worth a couple of more quarters to see what will be put in play with Mario Lopez. He is current and is known by most people I have asked. The .90 price is looking forward 12 months, if I am not mistaken, so patience is the key IMHO. It is a good product and just needs the awareness campaign to do its job.
Since there was no profit this quarter, I believe many investors feel they can wait until 2010 and get back in. However, if they add Walmart to the Costco distribution, this will be an overnight winner. Many things can transpire between now and next quarter as Steve outlined in the CC. I continue to remember the line about "net income profitability" in 2010. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Well VCF you were right about the pullback to the mid thirties. The call was a good one. The answer concerning the additional advertising and marketing from Steve Haley was impressive. Basically, if you think we spent a lot in 3Q, you have not seen anything yet!
Net income profitability in 2010 according to Steve!

These are very good questions indeed! According to Steve Haley, this loss was to be expected as advertising is the major expense listed on the quarterly report. I guess it is not cheap to advertise on a national scale, but this was mentioned in the coverage given by Thallman last month as well. Thallman said that if the company were to invest heavily into advertising, above and beyond the current campaign, it should cause an increase in distribution and demand which is why they began coverage with a buy at .90. It looks like this is just what Mr. Haley and company are doing at this time. The sales seem to suggest about 650,000 units sold in the quarter @ approximately 2.00 per unit. This is really anemic at this point, but if they could ramp up to 3 or 4 million units in a quarter with the additional advertising and awareness campaign, it is easy to see where the revenues could be (somewhere in between 6-10 million a quarter). Needless to say, it is a speculative play with a huge upside. I have a very substantial position with this company at the moment and do not look for a rise in SP until one of the major "big box" stores begin distributing. As Steve said in his interview recently, they are in talks with all the big box stores at this time which coincides with the advertising campaign. I think they are in the beginning of a huge growth phase and we will certainly know the results come next quarter. If sales do not increase dramatically in the first and second quarter of FY10, there may be a problem. However, if this thing kicks off it is going to be huge. I have concerns just like any other investor, but I do not think now is the time to run for the hills, not yet anyway. The report is what it is, which is an accurate statement of where they are right now, not where they want to be or where they will be.
Just one investors perspective!
Thanks for the opportunity.

I completely agree! The product does have an effect after consuming. I can actually feel the metabolism increase. I love the product and feel this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. In regards to your previous comment about the "clearance" price, I have noticed a similar situation in a GNC store I recently visited. The clerk explained that it was due to shelf life and not that they were discontinuing the product. In the interview, CEO Haley, explained that it is important to improve the placement of Celsius on the shelves, but also mentioned that you have to get on the shelves first. He realizes that this causes the product to sit longer on the shelves than it should be, but these instances are being examined and addressed.
I can see this product being a wonderful supplement for weight loss. As you state, "seemed to work as advertised" is what needs to become the thought consumers have when choosing a drink to go with workouts, weightloss, office jobs etc. Regardless of the activity, the product works to burn calories, build muscle and burn fat. It is revolutionary and supported by the scientific community!

The statement issued by Ladenburg Thalmann was very much the same as Steve Haley stated in his interview. The point regarding the ramping up of advertising beyond the recent television campaign was one of the contengencies listed for the rating of Buy. It is also something that Steve emphasized in his interview. In a couple of more quarters this stock has a huge upside potential. Thanks for your diligent efforts to keep us informed.
I do have a question for you regarding SIRI. Do you still see a double from the current SP level? You made it clear this was your expectation going forward on Sirius, but lately the articles have been so negative. I have to wonder about the 1.00 mark by March. Perhaps you could present another article on Sirius and let us know what you think considering the recent pull back in the stock.

This would concern me except for the major advertising campaign that is on right now! The supplies in stores right now are approaching the expiration date and have to move at a discount. This happens for all food items in establishments that sell parishable items. Sometimes its the meat, milk, eggs etc. So, I would not read too much into this going forward. Steve Haley will get the distribution and advertising on the same page soon, but as he stated in his interview a few days ago, the distribution had to come first...then marketing. The only people that know about the product in my area are the ones I tell about it. I have not met anyone that even knows it exists. Of course, this is in the process of changing. And check this coverage that was just initiated today.
9:04AM Celsius Holdings initiated with a Buy at Ladenburg; tgt $0.90 (CSUH) 0.45 : Ladenburg initiates CSUH with a Buy and sets a tgt of $0.90. The firm expects CSUH to experience significant revenue growth as it benefits from its product positioning, retail expansion, recent distribution and marketing deals, new product launches, and greater consumer awareness from television advertising. While the gross margin should improve due to greater scale economies, the firm believes that selling and marketing expenses should increase significantly to support advertising plans and sponsorship deals. Despite recent financing to support marketing the firm believes that the company will require additional funds to sustain its growth. Although speculative, the firm believes that an investment in CSUH may be rewarding if the company effectively executes its expansion and generates further demand.
I think they are going to be great and I would also anticipate much of the product in certain markets has been sitting for a while. This will change going forward in my humble opinion.

Thanks for the link. What an interesting piece of information. It is fascinating that Coke has already made a failed attempt at bringing a similar product to market. Perhaps this is why Celsius continues to demonstrate, through testing, the validity of the claims made regarding the "calorie burning" effect of the product. If the claims were not true, this product would most likely go the way of Enviga. This is also a postive as the bigger players have seen the opportunity in this type of beverage. Very encouraging indeed!

I listened to the interview with CEO Steve Haley. I was also very impressed with the direction he gave with respect to plans going forward. He stated that they are in negotiations with all big box retailers. He also emphasized that distribution would not be a problem despite running out of supplies earlier this year. It seems that they are positioned well for growth going forward. However, as you state, 2010 will be a "make or break" year for Celsius. Mr. Haley seemed very knowledgable about the challenges and opportunities which face this new company, and at the same time projected a great deal of enthusiasm regarding the prospects going forward. I have continued to accumulate in the low .40's and feel like the decision will be very good next year. Steve also suggested that the ultimate situation would involve a partnership with either Coke or Pepsi. At the moment they are in a contract with SEBC which is owned by Dr. Pepper, so they are close to the ultimate situation already. If the company fails, it will not be for lack of management, as Steve seems to have a tremendous grasp on what is necessary to show a profit in early 2010 which he alluded to in the interview.
Thanks for keeping up on the company for your readers!
Thanks again for the update. I did use this opportunity today to buy several more shares and got the average down from .486 to .45! I am pumped on this company and it will only get better from here. I am glad that my instincts have proven correct as your article substantiates the huge buys I put in today were the correct approach. I took you advice on CSUH shortly after the Aug 24th article and have been accumulating ever since on any slight pullbacks (have averaged down to .486). I bought several thousand more shares on Friday and will get some more this week if I am lucky. I have gone out and bought the product and determined that this is a very unique drink indeed! It is completely natural and supplies the energy boost as advertised. It is in GNC stores and Kum and Go's locally. I also see it has been distributed nationally in every major metropolitan area. 7-11 and a slew of other grocery chains across the country have the product on hand. I can see a Wal-Mart deal in the near future! That will put it way over the top in my opinion. I also noticed that Celsius is rubbing elbows with some very familiar celebrities lately. This can only be good for the company going forward. Imagine an endorsement from a sports celeb! They are showing how to market a new product "quietly" before going public by getting all their ducks in a row. Most everyone I talk to doesn't even know about the product yet. However, those that have given it a try just love the stuff! I know it will go over really well on college campuses when the nationwide campaign hits the air.
