  • Next Week In Biotech: Earnings Deluge - From GSK And Achillion To Intercept And Vivus [View article]
    Hi, Mike:

Thank you for listing the dates for potential catalysts in your article. I appreciate your effort: This information is very helpful to investors in this sector.

I would like to point out a typo which, I am sure, you probably have noticed by now:

Emergent BioSolutions’ ticker is EBS, not EBIO, which belongs to Eleven Biotherapeutics.

Thank you, again. Take care . . .

  • Inovio prices equity offering [View news story]
INO was (past tense) trading near $10, before this dilution event. INO is now offering shares at $8.00, hence INO directly is responsible for this drop in SP.

Although, the CEO (Dr. Kim) owns more shares than anyone else at this point in time, and they appeared to have sufficient cash for the near future, it does seem odd that INO is making this $8/share offering.

I have been a long-time shareholder because of their science and highly positive future results, however INO has had more than their share (no pun intended) of ups and downs. I try my best to keep my eyes away from the daily volatility, however even with positive news, it is difficult to stay the course.

I have hung in there with them for so long, I may as well keep my position because nothing negative has of yet been reported regarding the reason why I bought INO in the first place.

  • When It Comes To Tesla, Read Between The Lines [View article]
    Hi, wfa:

Thank you for your correct response: “This should not be confused with finished good inventory of cars for sale. They didn't say that. However that's how many of the rabid bears interpreted it.”

“. . . rabid bears . . .” sounds as though they may have rabies.

Good luck and stay well . . .

Inventories? What inventories? They manufacture models for customers who already have placed orders. Unless you’re writing about the hats and other accessories they sell in their display showrooms?

  • Illumina: And The Beat Goes On [View article]
    @AtonRa Partners:

Thank you for this article confirming much if not most of my thoughts regarding ILMN.

I believe that today’s dip was an expected sell-off to take profits; since it took place immediately following a positive quarterly earnings report. Today is the “dip” that we hope for to buy in to a great company doing great things with great management. I have held ILMN in the past and made a fairly large purchase today because (IMHO) I see it going back up over $200.00.

Tomorrow should be a good indicator if the comments I made are true or false (unless the markets fall with average earnings reports that could be in the near horizon). Although, tomorrow should be positive.

  • Perrigo unanimously rejects Mylan bid [View news story]
    Hi, derekmw:

Tomorrow, PRGO should cross above $200, at the least, on the way to $215+. Long PRGO.

  • Teva proposes to acquire Mylan for $82/share in cash and stock [View news story]
    Hi derekmw:

Usually, when there is a buyout/merger which is not an all-cash deal, but a cash and stock proposition, it is expected that the SP will be at least 5% of the total value of the offer. So subtract at least 5% from the alleged $82/share offer and that should, generally, bring you to the shareholder buyout value.

  • Teva reportedly weighing bid for Mylan; shares jump [View news story]
    Hi, derekmw:

You absolutely are correct. If anything, Mylan is in the middle, but recent report from them stipulates no interest in deal with TEVA.

We possibly could see an actual move from TEVA to obtain PRGO, since MYL publicly has rejected their advances (as rumored).

  • Celgene: A Pre-Earnings Discussion Based On Recent News [View article]

This is a well-written, excellent, and very informative article. Thank you.

I also am long CELG and GILD, among others in this volatile, stressful, and difficult sector.

Should CELG dip any lower (particularly on Monday) I will be buying more.

  • The Market May Be Underestimating Tesla's Potential In Europe [View article]
    Hi, Tales:

Usually, I do not spend time reading your posts because, early on, I realized that everything you write is (IMHO) basically anti-Tesla and, what I presumed was, by your own admission, short TSLA.

However, I read this last post (above) and realized that you actually made a great argument for reasons how Tesla soon will increase sales and brand recognition:

You, my friend, wrote: “Many people shopping for a car worldwide probably don't even know about the brand.

“Tesla doesn't advertise (at least on in [sic] traditional mass media) and is not a household name outside of EV and (green) car enthusiast [sic] circles, especially not outside of North America.”

The message from your statement suggests synonymous results for increased sales vis-à-vis advertising.

I agree. Perhaps Don Draper (of “Mad Men” fame), will be the catalyst Tesla/Musk will unveil in the near-future?

    Eventually . . . ?

    At some point in time . . . . . .?

That is a major catalyst by and of itself. In which direction will the PPS move when that occurs?

(BTW: There is no need for a response – I am just thinking out loud. Thanks, as always, for your comments)

Good luck and take care . . . ST

  • The Market May Be Underestimating Tesla's Potential In Europe [View article]
    Hi, jj1937:

GaltMachine asks an interesting question. I also would like to know why you wrote, "I tried to get my money back on the Model X." Or, more specifically, why you wrote, ". . . tried . . ."

First: When you ". . . tried to get. . ." (I am curious): Did you not "get" your money back? By writing in this manner, you make it appear that you were unsuccessful in acquiring your deposit. (IMHO) Sounds to me like FUD.

Secondly, another personal question (please forgive me?): Just where in “the queue” did Tesla have you placed?

Disclosure: Long TSLA (and soon to be owner of the Model X, ordered February 1, 2014, mid 7K’s in the queue and NOT EVER “trying” or requesting that my deposit be returned).

  • Tesla Convertibles: A Debacle In The World Of Bonds? [View article]
    Hi, Robbie:

This is an interesting and humorous article, explanation and retort of the previous SA article.

Obviously, the volatility is helpful and apparent not only with the share price (and subsequent trades) but the enormous amount of comments on every TSLA article.

I am sure you expect much ado about nothing, but I wanted you to know that I appreciate your time and effort.

IMHO - TSLA can be expected to trend higher with many catalysts on the horizon.

    Thank you.

  • Tesla Is Having A Bumper March In Norway But That Just Brings The Ugliness Closer [View article]
    Hi, Paulo:

Actually, you are incorrect. Elon has provided open resources for all ICE/other manufacturers to go EV.

If EVs are winning, then Tesla is winning.

  • Tesla Motors delivers 10K vehicles in Q1 [View news story]
    Hi, Jason Vitale:

    The way the “. . . many X pre-orders,” works is thus:

First, you place a cash deposit for a spot in the “queue.” The deposit is “refundable.”

When Tesla begins production of the vehicle, and they near your place in the “queue,” you will be notified to design your actual Model X with exterior/interior options, such as color, type of fabric, and other available options. At that time, you can cancel your order and receive your “refundable deposit” back, or design your Model X in the manner in which you desire. Your final price for the Model X (for which you placed a deposit), including choice of color, exterior and interior options, etc. are displayed when placing your preferences. You then know your final cost.

So, Jason, the following statement you wrote actually makes no sense: “. . . wonder how many X pre-orders have cancelled because they ordered a car literally half the price of what's being quoted these days?”

    Have a great weekend.

Disclosure: Long TSLA (and soon to be owner of the Model X, ordered February 1, 2014, mid 7K in the queue).
