Where many want to start their own business, and it's pretty simple to do so, economies seem to flourish, and the people seem happier and more eager to please. China is one of a number of places that really stand out as a winners.
When I was a young boy in America, real stock certificates showed factories with smoking chimneys, to show they were really making things. When I was in elementary school, the number one desire seemed to be.to "own my own business when I grow up".
For a variety of reasons, this attitude has disappeared. It cannot survive in a "risk free" nanny state. Somehow, this spirit must be resuscitated.
