I am a caregiver to my 91 year old former teacher, 35 year friend. He remembers the 70s when he was getting 21% on a CD. He gave me everything ten years ago to make sure there would never be a nursing home. He has since been in 2, twice....for not more than 21 days after strokes. He comes home with me. I do not play games with my commitment to him, a gay man who changed my life by buying me a front tooth a week after he met me. I was 23. A street kid who went to college, met my friend and his partner, both teachers, inherited their farm because I am never afraid to clean a toilet and I am loyal. I inherited some money too. I began investing 2 years ago on my own. I now am about 20k down. Big deal. I am learning. A man has to learn, especially a working class man whose parents didn't know what a 'stock' was. And my friend just ate a nice tender steak with broccoli and cheese, some mashed and some iced cream. Because I cook during these 18 hour caregive days, 7 days a week. So...it all works out. Thank goodness for Edward Jones, they have some of our dough. I privately play with (strictly stocks) about 25k. Good to meet you, and I shall now shut up and just listen.
