  • Apple's Dirty Little Rare Earth Secret [View article]
The USA got back into REE's when China said they would limit exports of rare earth elements, figuring they had most of the REE's on the planet. Our military hardware is dependent upon many of the REE's, so since the USA does have mines that WERE incactive, it was time to get them going again. China is a dangerous adversary. China then found out it made a mistake and dropped the limitations on REE exports.

One other note on China, they seem to have a world domination attitude and have gone about "conquering" enemies without violence, but with shrewd moves in ways that we don't understand. Using their huge cheap labor pool, the Chinese have produced cheap products with virtual slave labor. The Chinese have the USA by the short hairs because they own so many trillions of dollars in Treasury bonds and could bankrupt our nation if they cashed them in. I wonder how this will all turn out for our nation. Will China become the new number one super power in the world, or will China go the way of Japan in the 1970's. That was a time when the Japanese domination of the USA economy overheated and down went the Japanese into oblivion. I wish the same for the Chinese.

Didn't we (USA) open up a huge old rare earth mine in California three or four years ago when China said they would limit REE's?

  • Four Reasons Why Apple Pay Is Going To Win [View article]
I think a lot of Apple bashers do not realize that if Apple comes out with a bigger tablet, sales of this item will go through the roof.

Agree with the Costco thoughts. Costco is a pretty progressive company and Apple pay would be perfect for this company.

  • Is It Time To Short Apple? [View article]
If you would have shorted Apple when this article was written, you would be pulling the hair out of your head for a lack of gray matter. Apple is not a fly by night company and it appears to be on the cutting edge of new products and actually improving the tech it creates. Stay long for the next year.

  • Is It Time To Short Apple? [View article]
Good luck shorting this company. Of course, Apple went down for no good reason after it hit $700 a couple of years ago and actually went under $500, but once it split, WHAM, the shorts LOST their shorts. Good luck.

  • Apple Is A Steal Even At $700 [View article]
This article was written in FEB 2014. It is now late Oct 2014 and Apple has once again come out with a great new product- the iphone 6 and 6 plus. In just ten days, Apple has sold over 40 million phones! Apple also split 7-1 so its shares are now at $104 and going higher. Is Apple worth $700 bucks a share? Hey, even though it split, it might hit $700 again someday, POST SPLIT!!!

  • I Was Wrong About Apple [View article]
Anyone who bought Apple when it got hammered and went under $400 had a lot of smarts, not to mention common sense. I actually think the stock has grown back to almost $700 a little too quickly seeing as the iphone 6 is still not ready, but if everyone that has an iphone 4 or 5 model upgrades, as I believe they will, this stock could go through the roof! I am onboard and hope it happens soon. Apple needs to get the show on the road for the 6 soon.

When the new iphone 6 comes out, if you are still short this stock, I will wonder what you were thinking, but having said that, I am long Apple and would like to thank you for "giving" your cash to me when the short squeeze goes into high gear.

Good luck Mr. Blair, you will need it.

  • Apple's Split: What You Need To Know [View article]
Now is not the time to buy this great stock. Post split is when the hedge funds will take profits. Too bad for them when the stock goes higher with the new products pre-release hype gets it back up again.

  • Apple's Split: What You Need To Know [View article]
    xilef,

Let's face it, Apple has risen way too far, way too fast over the last month or so. Two years ago(geez, was that two years ago already?), Apple went from like 500 to 700 in six months and then the crap hit the fan. I think this is a similar situation, but the one difference is Apple is willing to buy back shares when the price hits a certain price ($500?) and new products are almost ready to go. Whatever happens, Apple is a great company and despite what the hedge funds try to do to the price of Apple, it will be a great stock to own for years to come. If it gets into the Dow Jones 30, it will get a nice boost too.

  • Apple's Split: What You Need To Know [View article]
I agree, Apple sinks in the days following the split and that's when you buy. I believe it will split into $90-$95 shares from $630-$665 and drop to $80-$85 post split. Buy at $82-$84 post split and the stock goes back up to $90 by October.
