This writer knows the truth ... That only Precious metals offer you security unhampered by governments and their proxies. Everyone should have a significant gold portfolio. The next big industry will be alternative energy and everyone should be into that as well. I personally have 50% into Gold and precious metal mining stocks 40% into Green energy mutual funds, ETF (Wilder Hill) and individual green energy tech stocks.

Big Hoopla Over Climate Change Proposal

Consider this: even if global warming isnt happening and is in fact a hoax, it still makes alot of sense to move quickly away from fossil fuels due to pollution, health care costs caused by pollution , national security threats, economic security and war avoidance. Trillions of US dollars flooding the markets willy nilly by the US Treasury to bailout everything from GM to Citibank just creates more money from nothing. That is the purest definition of inflation and the further devaluation of our currency. . Anyone who doesnt see that deserves what he or she gets. Gold's Golden Run All Set to Continue

For the past 8 years I have aggressively purchased shares in Invesco Stategic Gold Mutual fund. This has paid off in a huge way. I decided to put at least 50% of my retirement portforlio into this fund as a way to preserve my capital, but it has also earned huge returns in this current market too. Anyone new to investing should realize that in this current environment you must protect your investments with at least 10% of of your investment money in precious metals...either physical metal, coins, bars etc or gold mutual funds that purchase shares of mining companies that mine gold, silver, platinum etc. Cudos to those who subscribe to this philosophy because they are prudent and wise. An Energy Policy that Makes Cents (and Sense)

Excellent article. Lets start making city and regional planning a priority in the US by requiring all new construction to include solar panels. Lets also pressure politicians to use current easement property along hiways as potential solar collection property. We have literally thousands of hiway miles that could be put to use by installing solar panels across the country on interstates. States could use this energy to supply the grid, lower taxes, lower fuel costs, clean the air, and eliminate our dependence on foreign oil.Not to mention eliminate our need to police the world and fight senseless wars for oil.

Imagine solar cells on all new homes built. Imagine you car going to work and back without burning any gasoline. Imagine your car running on an electric engine with no transmission. Imagine your electric having better horsepower and handling than you ever could have with a gasoline or diesel powered car. Imagine it because its true. All of this makes sense and is around the corner. Support altenative energy because it is kind not only to your wallet, it is the best stewardship you can demonstrate to the world for future generations. Cleaner air, new jobs, better health, and less war over oil.... all sounds like a winner to me.
