Have worked in automotive industry (either editor at a car magazine or in PR) for the past 17 years. Have studied Finance essentially as a hobby (since I dont work in finance), but one that I take pretty seriously. I have completed numerous classes with the New York Institute of Finance (enough to achieve a Portfolio Management Certificate with the school), plus countless hours reading/note taking of "The Intelligent Investor", Seth Klarmann's "Margin of Safety", some of the Bogle Books, etc. I have also read all of the Berkshire Hathaway/Buffett Partnership Annual Reports I can find on the Internet (so far 1959 to 2011). Additionally, I have read the latest annual reports word-for-word prior to every one of my investment purchases.
