  • Retailers' Hobson's Choice: Crushed By Amazon Or Exploited By Google [View article]
The Google Dynasty. Its domination should rank among the all time greats when looking back in 2050. As an investor, you gotta love what it will most likely do for your financial situation. Buy now for long term, while its trading at 5 year lows for P/S, Price to cash flow, and P/B, and you believe management will turn the ship around. I did so today at $498.

  • Google makes new 52-week lows following JPMorgan target cut [View news story]
I've heard all this doom and gloom before, just like when Target hit its 52 week low after the data breach. I ignored all the bleak predictions and backed the truck up. Damn am I glad I did. Up 37% since then. Same here, loading up and looking forward to a multi bagger in 5-10 years. There are numerous reasons Google is a holding in almost any fund you can name, and right now trading at a 5 year low in the most important valuations makes it a compelling buy.

Thanks Cap'n. Hopefully we can shake of the weak hands this week and be left with a sizeable percentage of long term investors.

SCM, aka anonymus author. First of all I want to congratulate you for a very well thought out attack, and thank you for reminding me to go the extra mile in my company research. I'm sorry to rain on your parade, but you messed with my team. And when you do that, I'm going to be tenacious defending them, In fact, I have dozens of teams working for me around the globe, and it works out quite nice as I support them and they kick back a little profit just for sticking with them. And the longer I stay with them, the more both of us profit. You see it's a reciprocal arrangement. A symbiotic relationship if you will. Somewhat of an old school way of investing but about the only way I have found to consistently grow a portfolio. Even though you didn't profit off this attack, you should thank me anyway, as I put a few pennies in you pocket with all my posts. Now, as stated in a prior post I have a substantial percentage of my portfolio invested in Profire as I see it as a very long term hold (email me privately if you want to know all the reasons why). I have zero affiliation/association with the company, nor with any business entity the company associates with. I'm simply invested in the energy sector, and have an interest in cleantech companies such as Profire. I have what is known as a bookend investment strategy. that is I invest in large cap Market Leaders on one end and small and micro caps on the other. With a few Market leading midcaps in between. Historically investment in these stocks has produced the best long term gains. At this time I have no interest in creating articles here...perhaps someday. I'm too busy with my career and trying to grow my portfolio so I can retire before I'm 80 LOL! See my post above regarding improprieties. I can't tell you if W. Buffet would invest or has invested in a company after uncovering an impropriety. I do know he would most certainly do his due diligence before he did, which is what I have done and will continue to do. I can tell you that CBI has been investigated for falsifying its financial documents, and in spite of that as of Q3, he holds 10.7 million shares. Go figure...

Slam Dunk! pescado, thanks for addressing those issues, and reinforcing what many investors already know.

    A. I didn't say "most"
    B. Every human being is subject to temptation, greed, and many will try to get away with whatever they can believing they won't get caught. Yes, even you. Having said that, the degree of of a persons improprieties and the context with which those actions took place must be thoroughly scrutized. I did that, and more importantly so did the officers and directors of the company. So should you before investing.
    C. Answer is don't invest unless you have a true conviction in a company because you are likely to lose money and that is the number one thing that any and all good invstors try their hardest to avoid. Best of luck.

Hunter what product are you referring to? Their main revenue generator, the Burner Management System, offers worker safety and efficiency, thereby cost savings for the production companies. Eventually these sysyems may be required by law in the US. as they are in Canada. The company's main advantage right now is these systems can be used remotely while larger players (Honeywell, Siemens for instance) systems require 120/220V and are used in very large production facilites. They also claim they service the systems they sell and install while their main competitors sell them, but do not have dedicated service teams such as Profire has.
