iPhone “By the Numbers”: Apple’s Sweeping Tide Across the Globe [View article]
"One minimizing explanation is that buyers have been holding off in anticipation of the new phone."
I'm one that's been holding off, although more so because I'm waiting for my Verizon contract to end in a few months.....but even if I wanted a pre 3G phone, can you even find one? None at apple.com, at attwireless.com you're limited to 1 per household and considering that my roommate already has one I wonder if I'd even be able to make the purchase if I want to.

FRS....iphone is so huge because it's introducing Apple to the potential masses, iphone users will start to think twice before buying that PC.....the Ipod is different because it's not a miniature computer, while there was/is that halo effect with the ipod, because you are talking OS X with Iphone, the potential halo is even greater.

I think that the release of Vista has helped Apple. I recently bought a Dell with Vista and practically every other day I log onto apple.com lamenting about how I could have spent the few extra bucks and gotten a machine that would have made me happy. I just recently switched over to Safari for Windows after using IE for the last 15 years and there's a huge improvement in performance. I was literally hitting the Network Reset two or three times daily with IE in Vista, since I switched over to Safari I've hit it twice in the last few months. Apple just makes a better product and I think people are seeing that which is why they are willing to pay more for that luxury.
Ag Stocks Could Have Steep Pullbacks [View article]
All you people who say that these Ag stocks aren't expensive are fooling yourselves. I own MOS and in fact I just bought more yesterday on the pullback, BUT I understand, admit, and accept that this is an expensive stock that's doubled in only a few months (I forget the exact time frame but just the other day it was 70).
If Apple does go down, the only reason is going to be lower than desired guidance which will get me really pissed off. After last quarter I used it as a buying opportunity (as low as 115.5!!!!!) since I didn't see any fundamental change in the business but I'd like to have the shares run up past $200 again so I can take some profits. Jobs better not screw us again or my love for Apple is doing a 180.
Apple Should Rise on Bold Citi Call [View article]
I'll feel vindicated if Apple has some blow out numbers. It'll prove that the selloff was way overdone. Better buy now people, we're going to see a 10% POP come after hours on Wednesday and through Thursday!!!!
