      The Shallowest Generation
"Past U.S. generations invented the airplane; invented the automobile; discovered penicillin; and built the Interstate highway system. The Baby Boom generation has invented credit default swaps; mortgage backed securities; the fast food drive thru window; discovered the cure for erectile dysfunction; and built bridges to nowhere. No wonder we’re in so much trouble."

You left out personal computers, the Internet, and enough medical advances (beyond penicillin) to raise the average healthy lifespan a good 15+ years. The article dumps symptoms of every stripe onto a chimerical disease--sorry, "laggardship"... falls short of a compelling diagnosis--with a therapy as jejune as the underlying motives you ascribe to the culprits who brought said malady upon us.

The argument and its prose are the utter stuff of glibness.

Jim Cramer's Unnecessary Beating Over Sirius
The fact that Jim Cramer has become a one-man force in finance journalism is due in larger part to his hyper-inflated image as a straight-shooting pundit in a tricked-out TV game show format than by any convincing authority he has to know all things financial. He repeatedly does 180s on stocks (his flip-flops on Intel would make your head spin) and in spite of his attempts to shed his past, he retains a hedge fund day-trader's mentality that is often as behind the curve as it is ahead of it. His hucksterism may draw big audiences, but taking serious financial advice from a clown on TV should speak for itself. Why do you think they call it the "boob tube"?

Four Factors Likely to Fuel Auto Sales
How will buying, say, an OEM Sirius radio now in a new car be affected when an interoperable SiriusXM unit becomes standard within the next few years? Will those new car buyers be limited in their reception of both systems, or is there a fix in place to guarantee long-term functionality of the merged networks in cars currently being sold?
