  • RBC Expects Strong Beat from Apple [View article]
nope, mass stupidity sellathon seems to be happening BEFORE earnings. And based on what??? Wu's downgrade to Neutral isnt so bad... his comments were generally positive. Why these massive fluctuations on no news? Is everyone expecting AAPL to do a GE and spring a surprise miss?

  • Apple's iPhone Shortage Is Probably Just That [View article]
Isn't Toni Sacconagghi the analyst that started the Quest for the "missing iPhone" in the first place? I hope he has tracked them all down, all 10 million... I am an anxious shareholder, and appreciate his diligence in figuring out where all the bits and pieces that make up the iPhone come from, where they are going, and who is buying the iPhones. I know there are a lots of folks in India and China who are waiting for the chance to buy a 3G iPhone with no hacking required, and who dont mind the price since they have beaucoup $$$ of discretionary income these days....

  • Apple Facing Serious Downside Risk - Morgan Keegan [View article]
I prefer a pullback now to realistic levels, and let the analysts re-set the expectations of ALL stocks to achievable levels given this downturn in the economic macro climate. It's far more preferable than having a run up until the earnings call, and then going down steeply on rumors and innuendo. Apple has great fundamentals, a ton of money, great products and although there is demand out there, it is natural that people would rethink spending priorities for the next few months. Apple will grow, and keep growing, but a little slower than before. All companies are in the same situation, so its not unique.

    thanks for the straight talk.

  • A Trip to 'Fantasyland' - Should Google Buy Apple? [View article]
2 great companies, 2 different market places. fantasy? sure.... why not? While we're at it. why not imagine a AAPL-LG partnership? LG makes all kinds of appliances from cell phones to refrigerators. Even better would be a LG-Google partnership - truly intelligent appliances..

  • Apple Stock: Still 35% Off at a Broker Near You [View article]
thanks for the fair assessment. it's refreshing to see information based on real news rather than on speculation by analysts based on rumors from "sources" and touted as if it came from the CEO/COO. For Long Term Investors, AAPL is trading at a discount, indeed, even if one were entering the market today, you can be assured of a healthy 15-20% return on investment even at the worst case scenario. If you've been with AAPL since before 2004, well, I really don't need to say anymore. You can ride this out.

  • Last Year's Leaders Have Become This Year's Laggards [View article]
It wasn't Jonathan, Seeking Alpha has been balanced overall with respect to all the sectors. Perhaps it was Cramer and his 4 horsemen theory. He had a buy 535, and now its 460 pre-market on 02/26. Not sure that their fundamentals have changed at all - the PE was steep, even for a growth company, but did not warrant such a slide on so little data.
