Google Steps On Sirius XM's Toes, Pokes Pandora In The Eye, Beats Apple To The Punch [View article]
Apple typically has followed others when it has come to releasing products. It generally has taken its time to vastly improve early offerings by other companies with superior products and services. Google may be first out of the gate, but my guess is that Apple will be providing its own more desirable service in the not too distant future.
Apple: Time To Get Optimistic Again [View article]
Great read as usual. Thanks for the optimistic view. Just when it looked like things were looking positive as the stock was moving up, the hedge fund mouths began to spin their self-serving tales of woe, and down we go again. Fall can't come soon enough with Cook's promise of opening the new product and services pipeline. Until then I plan on enjoying tomorrow's dividend payment, and those to come in the future.
3 Apple 'Long Shots' That Could Happen [View article]
"Treats are coming for loyal shareholders. It's been alluded to time and time again since Einhorn has started pressing shareholders to demand that Apple unlock their cash. CEO Tim Cook had alluded to it dozens of times, and it's only a matter of time before shareholders wind up with an added bonus like increased dividends, preferred stock, or share buybacks". Not sure why you had this paragraph in your article since all of it, as you know, is a done deal. And in my opinion, Einhorn was late to the party--Tim had been talking about those moves long before Einhorn came on the scene.
What Is Apple's 'Rate Of Return' For The Next 3 Years? [View article]
Very interesting article with a nice analysis presented in an easily understood fashion. Apple has provided some hair raising rides over the years as it has dipped and popped its way across the ticker tape. It has never been dull, and certainly has not been a stock for the feint of heart. Long term investors have been and will continue to be amply rewarded. Patience is the key right now as it has been at times like this in the past. Apple will likely gain ground slowly until new or improved products and services are released. In the mean time buying and holding its shares is better than putting money in the bank. The dividends beat the meager interest banks are paying, and the opportunity for significant capital gains is well worth the wait for the next big things to appear.
Apple's Stock Is Not Manipulated, But Things Are Changing [View article]
The news that pulled Apple down today was we just passed the ex-dividend date on May 9. Some folks obviously were buyers very recently during the run up before the May16 dividend, and were selling yesterday and today, now that they have secured the dividend, and the short time profits they have accrued.
Now That Apple Has Bottomed, What Is It Worth? [View article]
Nicely done article. So simply stated with a concise chart that tells the story about the real value of Apple stock. My sense is that we will soon see some major spikes: before the dividend, before, during and after the upcoming conference, and certainly before and after the fall release of new products and services. Hedge and mutual fund managers are beginning to buy and push the stock again, negative bloggers and talking heads appear to be on vacation, analysts are somewhat quiet (watching for which way the wind is blowing), new and improved product rumors are circulating, and the stock is moving up nicely. If you own Apple now is the time to be patient, and perhaps add to your holdings. If you have yet to take a bite, now is the time as Apple is about to shine once again.
Apple: A Deep Dive Into Perhaps The Most Profitable Bond Issue Ever [View article]
And it should be pointed out that Cook and his board had been contemplating an "investor friendly move" such as this way before Einhorn and others did their grandstanding promoting of what they already had in the works.
Hot Money Makes Apple #1 Concern Of The Market-Makers [View article]
Most interesting evaluation of Apple's movements. It is obviously a stock driven by the mutual and hedge fund managers, and continues to be a major money maker for them. Their "teams" make major dollars in the stock as they promote it upward, and collect significant monies when they drive it down. It appears that we are at the tipping point for the "frenzy" you mention to begin. The new and improved dividend payment is set to be distributed on the 16th, the biggest buy back in the history of the market is in the works, Cook has said the new product and service pipeline is slated to open this fall, and a deal with China could be put together at any time. It appears to me that those catalysts are presently at work and are driving the upward trend in the stock.
Yes, the worm has turned with respect to negative comments about Apple. Oh woe is me, what will I do without being able to read the nasty material that has been spun these last eight months. Hark, I have even read a negative story about Apple's arch rival, Samsung. Could it be that those living in caves have finally come forth and have seen the shinning Apple? "Ah, the temptation of it all", said Eve. "I think it is time to take a large bite out of Apple. What do you think, Adam"?
Is Apple Worth More Dead Than Alive? [View article]
I must admit I avoided reading your article because of the title, but then spotted it again this morning and just had to take a quick peek. So glad I did, you provided an excellent analysis supported by facts few people have taken the time to ferret out. Kinda like reading a good mystery with a surprise ending, well done, Kyle. Have always enjoyed your articles. Keep them coming. Apple is on its way back, the blogger and talking head negativity has slowed considerably, and the analysts are laying low. My guess is that the move upward is the result of fund managers beginning to accumulate more shares in response to the improved dividends, stock buybacks, and Cook's announcement that the new product pipeline will be opening this fall. Apple is not a stock for the feint of heart since it has a history of taking investors on wild rides. It is a solid company that has and will pay off handsomely to those who are patient buying and selling prudently. The buy time is upon us once again.
Apple Bonds Are Good For The Economy [View article]
Well written article, nicely documented and refreshingly honest and positive for a change. Thank you for focusing on the positive moves Apple has recently made.
Keep making them bigger and soon we will return to brief cases to carry them. Apple's size and screen quality are major pluses for those of us who want to just tuck them in our pocket or pocketbook for ready access. Quite frankly I'm not seeing them. Perhaps people keep them at home because they get tired carrying them around!
Apple: A $467 Price Floor Set By Share Repurchase Plan And Dividend Hike [View article]
I like your math, the numbers you have put together make excellent sense. Apple is making a major turn since the buy back and increased dividend payments were released, and will continue to accelerate higher as new and or improved products are released. Would you bet 50 billion of your company's money on a turn for the better if you didn't really know that you could do it? Apple profits because Apple prospers, and investors profit because Apple prospers. What could be better than that?
One of the best articles ever written on Seeking Alpha. Factually based with a solid understanding of the dynamics of the Apple story. Your optimistic position makes sense as the reader reviews the information provided by the charts, and forward looking possibilities for continued growth of the company. Thanks for the article, its so refreshing to read an analyst that gets it for a change.
