Is Oil a Bubble? Part 3
      Prediction:

In the future, perhaps as soon as 2010, American consumers will be buying and driving FRENCH cars on American streets and highways.
      zeropollutionmotors.us/

These FRENCH cars will comply with 100% of American safety standards.

These FRENCH cars will be compressed air hybrids.

Under 35 miles per hour, these FRENCH cars will use 100% compressed air, which can be filled up for as little as $2.

Over 35 miles per hour--up to 95 miles per hour, these FRENCH cars will use gasoline--but get this...

...will get 106 miles per gallon.

That's right, 106 miles per gallon.

You see, my friends, these cars were designed by the FRENCH.

Not stupid Republican Detriot Car executive a@@holes.

The best part about the future is...NOT A SINGLE REPUBLICAN WILL GET A SINGLE PENNY from this!

      Not one!!!!

      WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOO...

This is great news for John McCain!

And this also proves that those economic stimulus checks are working!

      Trusting the WSJ
      1. Rupert Murdoch purchased the WSJ.

      2. FoxNews, also owned by Murdoch frequently do "news" reports based on "some people say...".

This is nothing more than GOP propaganda.

WSJ has absolutely *zero* credibility as long as Murdoch is signing the paychecks.

Rupert Murdoch is a far-right partisan who has used his empire explicitly to pull American political debate to the right. He is also an enabler of the oppressive tactics employed by dictatorial regimes, and a man who admits to having hidden money in tax havens.

The WSJ is nothing more than bird cage liner or something to wrap yesterday's fish in before tossing it into the garbage can.

Windfall Profits for Big Food: Where's The Outrage?
"Windfall Profits for Big Food: Where's The Outrage?"

      Nowhere.

These people have no shame, whosoever.

      They will repeat any lie.

They will "bear false witness against their neighbors" time and time again.

No sir, the only outrage they feel is if the GOP tells them to believe some propaganda talking point.

They have absolutely no problem with borrow-and-spend $3 trillion on a war based on lies.

Lies? What lies? They have no clue.

When the "dirty hippies" said back in 2000 that it would NOT be a good idea to let two OIL men run our country--there was no outrage.

What could possibly go wrong? They will surround themselves with "smart" people, they said.

You're just being a "boy who cried wolf".

"The sky is falling" they laughed, again and again.

Funny...when they fill up their F-350 trucks and SUVs, I don't hear them laughing now.

When Dick Cheney makes millions of dollars by making mistakes (attacking a country that does not have WMD), you better believe he's going to keep making mistakes that profit himself and his OIL buddies over in Houston, Dubai, etc.

      Hershey: Attractive Short?
One philosophy of investing is to invest in something you "know".

I do know that Hershey's chocolate sucks.

Ask anyone from anywhere in the world who has eaten good chocolate, they will tell you--Hershey's is poor quality stuff.

If you like Hershey's business model of selling poor quality product to American "rubes" who don't know any better, then I would suggest HSY is a "BUY".

Is Smallcap Volatility Pain Worth the Gain?
Someone who can't spell "pseudo" should probably not use the word "science" in the same sentence.

Emotions are simply secretions of neuropeptides by the brain (or the immune system) that spread throughout the body.

These "emotional" neuropeptides contain something called "ligands" which act as a "key" to unlock the receptors in cells. When unlocked or activated, cells produce a cascade of chemical reactions, which can have long-lasting and persistent effects on the physical body.

In other words, emotions are real, physical bio-chemical reactions that cause changes in your body on a cellular level. Emotions are not just "all in your head". They are real and they influence how you think and feel on a moment-to-moment and day-to-day basis.

      Excellent thought, Mr. Zhuang.

Yes, the emotional impact of investing is about the "risk to reward ratio".

According to Daniel Kahneman, you should probably not invest in small caps unless the potential reward is at least twice what a lower Beta volatility investment would yield.

Thank you for bringing up-to-date science into the "dismal" so-called "science" of economics.

Home Prices: How Low Can You Go?
      How low can you go?

I'd guess--down to the rental value.

When Rent = Buy, then it's better to BUY.

When Rent < Buy, then it's better to RENT.

Most of the time, Rent < Buy.

That's why RESIDENTIAL single family Real Estate is a *bad* investment.

      Rent and invest the difference!

If your landlord gives you 30 days notice--simply move to another rental, no big deal!

US Housing Inventories Reach Record Highs

"President Bush struck a reassuring tone Wednesday about recent turbulence on Wall Street, saying he believes the markets will work their way through the turmoil safely. In his most extensive remarks on a gyrating stock market, he expressed confidence that investors would eventually calm down. ‘’My hope is that the market, if it functions normally, will be able to yield a soft landing,’’ Bush told reporters at the Treasury Department."

      STAY THE COURSE!

What could possibly go wrong when we follow George W. Bush's advice? After all, he's got an MBA! From Harvard! And he surrounds himself with smart people (like Doug Feith).

Look..I'm not trying to provide "moral cover" for the Texas Republicans who are involved in manipulating gasonline prices here in the US and ripping off consumers at the pump, but...

...stop whining! Europeans are paying sky high prices, and their economies are doing just fine! If anything, they are "too strong".

If you want cheap oil prices, move to Caracas, Venezuela where they pay $0.12/gallon (2005).

Or perhaps Lagos, Nigeria where they pay $0.38/gallon (2005).

Let us know how big of a wall you must build around your house to keep the looters out!

      The supply of SOLAR energy.

Well, those stimulus checks are arriving in the mailboxes.

Maybe it's the irrational exuberance of people cashing them in to fill up their tanks--thus, creating an abnormally high demand for OIL.
