  • Pharma Investments Are Starting to Pay Off [View article]
I like the ehalth care sector, and look for it to rise in the future. Once all those baby boomers start to retire on mass, pharma products will be in demand. Long term shareowners will do well in this sector.

  • Ip Blames Greenspan for Lack of Regulation [View article]
Greenspan was asleep at the wheel while this mess was building, and now he says that it's not his fault.
C'mon .... we are not stupid people !!
The truth is starting to come out about how
responsible he really was. He should just shut up, and
stop blaming others for his own incompetence

  • Petro-Canada Can Handle $50-$60 Oil in 2009 [View article]
Any compsny will low debt in this economy is a good thing.
By all forecasts the days of cheap oil are long behinds us.
With the world economies down at the moment I like oil
companies to rebound along with the world economies, when they start returning to more stable levels of growth.

  • Investors Appear Less Enamored with Dividend Paying Companies  [View article]
While I have not sold my many dividend payers in this bear
market because they are below my average price, and other
than the big banks they will return sometime to decent
levels when this down turn is over. On the other hand,
I'm rewarding the companies that have not cut their
dividend by putting new money in their shares. A few
come to mind that will reward investors over many years.
KO, JNJ, PG, WMT, TRI, THI, etc. will share the cash with
    shareowners.

  • The 15 Most Cash Rich Companies [View article]
I really think that PFE should almost not be on the
list considering that all that cash has pretty much been spent with their blockbuster purchase

  • 'AAA' Rated Companies: And Then There Were Six [View article]
I like JNJ, they seem to power on thru any market, and any
economy. GE will return someday. The housing mess will
clear, and the underlining strenght of the company will
    return to historic levels.

  • The 'Sell After Dividend Cut/Freeze' Rule, With Exceptions [View article]
I held Sara Lee for a number of years before they re-structured, and cut their dividend. After a few years
they increased it again, however the underlining
problems in the company has effected on the price. Warren
Buffet always says, once a company re-structures they are dead money for a number of years.

  • Alan Greenspan, Obfuscator Par Excellence [View article]
Greenspan is a coward, and a liar. He was asleep at the wheel when america really needed leadership. Now he says
that his policy was sound, and he did'nt do anything wrong.
What a mess he created. Guys like him and madoff should
    go to jail forever.

  • Johnson & Johnson: Undervalued Below $55 [View article]
Great company with NO toxic assets. Dividend growth looks
good going forward. Currently below $50, which is a good entry point for anyone who wants to become rich in the
long term. I hope the price stays low for awhile, so I can buy more !!

  • Alan Greenspan Still Doesn't Have a Clue [View article]
Greenspan was asleep at the wheel, and now he is
blaming others f0r his mistakes. He is prolly related to that other coward madoff. They both should be locked up for 150 years, with bread and water.

  • Time to Buy China, Copper, the Canadian Dollar and Oil [View article]
If you beleave that there is no more cheap oil being found, then the
Canadian dollar is a good long term bet, because it's a petro dollar.
I would also agree that China is another long term play because it's
in the early stages on it's development the same way the US was in
the last century. The US is in deep debt, and can't affort it's health
care, and pension committments in the future. Unless it exports
more goods than it imports, ( not likely ) then the tax rate will
have to rise to fund these programs. The point is that you have to
look at other areas beside the US market.

  • Siegel vs. Standard & Poor's [View article]
Maybe if PFE and some of the other companies did'nt pay
out their cash by the way of dividends, they would have a
    higher stock price.
    Siegal is a crack pot
dividends are fine, but long term stock values are more important
