Gartman is bang on, since most people think the US dollar will fall, because the US is burdened by a massive debt, which will trigger long term higher taxes, and lower productivity. Canada is a resourse based economy, and the long term trend is higher prices for oil, food, potast, etc. Our dollar will be a petro dollar and rise against the US debt dollar. The Americans are spending, and borrowing like drunken sailers. They will have a massive hang over in the future.
