PCs are not going away. Have you tried doing anything meaningful with an iPad? Create a presentation? A decent document? A computer program? There are countless activities that just can not be performed on iPads and the like. Tablets are great for passive tasks like reading emails, browsing the web and playing games but that is about it, and it won't change in the future. And actually, even on the gaming front, tablets can't match the raw power and graphics that "serious" gamers enjoy on PCs.
