I forgot to add that Ms. Whitman's comments about niceness being only for housewives and certain profressions to be rather crass. And, I'm SURE that the reason her husband stays away so much is NOT because of his busy schedule, but because he just can't stand her...much like the rest of society!

Listing counts have shot up?? How do you figure "shot up"? Let me guess..ebay told you this?? Please get facts straight, as they are barely breaking even with this "listing event". I'm sure that ebay did not report the 1/2 million fraudulent listings, either, did they now?

What Ever Happened to eBay's _____?

I found it to be extremely truthful. Ebay is burying itself - putting more and more pressure on their sellers to perform, however, they cannot live up to their own standards. This company is on a downward spiral whether you choose to identify it or not.

As the financial crisis continues to worsen, the U.S. government is considering two dramatic steps to turn around, or at least slow, the damage: guaranteeing billions of dollars in bank debt and temporarily insuring all U.S. bank deposits. The moves, which would mark the government's most extensive intervention to date, are in discussion stages only. Credit stays frozen. As frozen credit markets refuse to thaw, the cost of default protection on corporate bonds reaches new global records amid investor concerns the credit crisis will trigger corporate failures as companies struggle to finance their businesses. Interbank lending remains limited, and borrowing from the Fed's expanded discount window continued its trend of setting new highs every week, as the total daily average rose to $420.2B vs. $367.8B last week.
