Cellulosic Ethanol: The Next Biofuel Boom? [View article]
I agree fully that cellulosic ethanol is the future. As I understand the production process, one of the hardest phases is the first step, where you break down the cellulose in whatever feed stock is being used. I read a fairly recent Auburn University research report on this where they tested a proprietary process developed by Gulf Ethanol Technology (GFET) that greatly speeded up the process and was substantial more efficient that any of the current methods available. Is Gulf Ethanol just too early in the cellulosic ethanol industry to be on anyone's radar or are they really one of those early opportunities every investor dreams of finding?
