CenturyTel / Embarq Merger Could Ignite More Deals Between Telecoms

This is the worst thing that could happen to the shareholders of Embarq. One simply needs to look at the current price of EQ to see what the market thinks of this deal. The management and board of Emabarq became lazy and instead of running the company for efficiency, growth and long term success they opted to bail out and leave the stockholders upside down. There were many paths open to them and they selected the eaasy way out. Tar and Feathers not golden parachutes is what the board and top executives deserve.
