Is Donahoe Trying to Destroy eBay?
The search engine is not profitable for your average seller... It's biased and considering the fact that the sellers pay for bandwidth and the advertizing throughout ebay they are being totally ripped off... I would think that it would be illegal to sabatoge a paying customer...

I have left ebay, except for my store front, which I'm willing to pay for to let my customers know that I am leaving the site and will be going to online auction where the seller and the buyer are both treated with respect...

I see some big egos with text book minds at work in ebay... Time to look at the sellers as though they have brains and put themselves in our shoes for just a moment... Would mr. donahue accept the seller terms on ebay??? "NOT"....

Treating their customer, again, like trash...

eBay Tales of Surveys and Sellers
The problem with ebay and the horror stories from buyers, is that when notified of a bad seller, ebay, for years has ignored the reports and did nothing... Why? because they make money off of those bad sellers... They make money off of bad buyers... Bottom line, this company is "all about them" and who cares about their customer base...

They have overlooked schill bidding and knockoffs that are being sold as originals... Look at the Tiffany lawsuit... A perfect example of ebay turning the other cheek just to make a buck...

Unfortunately, the good honest sellers and buyer have suffered for the negligence on ebays part of not taking care of business when it's presented to them...

Now, with the new manipulated "fee structure", ebay says they are doing for "their customer" (and who is their customer anyway?) which is actually a 67% increase in fees for the majority of sellers, and the removal of the ability for the seller to protect himself against fraud by taking away the right to voice that a buyer didn't pay, or wrote a bad check, or claimed that he didn't receive the merchandise even though there is a receipt of confirmation to prove that they did... No, this is the ultimate betrayel to the faithful and honest seller...

The latest in ebays manipulation is to not be able to see who you are bidding against... This opens the door for shill bidders to unleash themselves on ebays unaware seller...

Had they not had such a bad case of greed to begin with, they could have prevented so much of the "nastiness"....

Unfortunately, for them, they have now opened up a can of worms... They have abused the people who helped them build this sucessful business, the foundation of the company, it's sellers... A house without a foundation can not stand...

Reducing themselves to padding listings and trying to minimize the actual ammount of listings that were added by them to make it appear as though they were not being affected by a major boycott of ebay...

Threatening to hold sellers funds through their own paypal company for 21 days and expecting the seller to ship an item which they have not been paid for.. If the buyer ends up being dishonest and says he did not receive the merchandise, then paypal refunds them and the seller is out by losing their merchandise, shipping supplies, shipping costs, and listing fees ect...

Not a good company to deal with in my opinion...

So I have chosen to leave this company behind... I had a very successful business on that site and a perfect reputation... No negative feedback and over 4000 sales... I have never given a negative either, whether they deserved it or not, but to take away my right to do this sets me up to be some con artists pawn...

It's too risky now and not a good business venture for a seller...

eBay Bares Its Ugly New Face
Unfortunate for Ebay, their customer's, "The Seller", has thrown up their hands in the air and realized that ebay is a sinking ship... It's no longer profitable to sell on their site and to be honest, there are too many other sites that are happy to have our business!!

The huge fee increases that they tried to bring to us as "lowered fees", the 21 day hold on funds with loop holes for them to do it at a whim, the lack of accountablility when a buyer doesn't pay or writes bad checks or does theft by charge backs, the padded listings, the allowed schill bidders, the inconsistant and non existant communication level, the name calling, the total disregaurd for the Seller as a business partner, and lastly, the greed behind it all... Just too much to chew on for me...

Personally, I chose to close my listings BEFORE the actual first boycott, and since they didn't respond except for calling us "noise" and using padded listings to try to cover up the true effects of the boycott just reinforced my decision to stay away forever...

I am moving my business to onlineauction.com and will help them flourish as I re-grow my business there...

I see a sinking ship when I look at ebay... The monopoly has finally met it's match!!

eBay's Kijiji Talks Smack About Craigslist: "We'll Be #1 in the U.S."
I find it humorous that ebay continues to begin businesses with the flea market seller and and then slits their throats after they become successful...

      They are going to fail...

You can only lie so much before you begin to get found out...
