Achillion Pharmaceuticals' Management Presents at UBS Global Healthcare Conference (Transcript) [View article]
I consider myself fortunate to be able to read this transcript for free. A very insightful MKF indeed. Now I understand why Achillion has such small test groups, and the many variations of HCV there are. With no adverse effects from ACH1625 (sorry still old school), and 3102, am cautiously optimistic about the future of their pipeline. There's plenty of room for competition with Gilead and others. GLTA.

That was my gut feeling too that there is little a president can do to override another branch of government. Judicial/ Executive/Legislative. Common sense says the jury verdict would overrule and a USPTO finding would be used on appeal? Uh oh, now I am sounding like a lawyer! Let's just hope the judge makes his damages award soon and we can move on to the next stage of litigation.

"falls under the final authority of the Executive Branch or President Obama". Didn't he make a recent statement about doing something about patent trolls? Obviously not in my exact words. If he steps in to the fray and rules in favor of Google .... nothing surprises me anymore in this legal, dramatic fiasco. Of course I am NOT a lawyer, and the president is a politician so he says a lot of things. Just my comment.

I have been with ACHN for years, not days, and am still hopeful. But it has been frustrating. Last year, bought Obagi Medical, held for 9 months, sold for 75.00 dollar profit, three days later it popped! The moral buy and hold, no matter what Cramer says.

Ali,
Great effort you put into this. What a breath of fresh air compared to many articles on SA. You really break it down so well it's hard not to see the numbers add up. Have a small position and was planning to add to it when I got a better understanding of the overall picture. By far the best info I've read on ATRS.

IMO:It's quite simple, whoever has the most money wins. Unless, the judge decides, and is a man of principle, and who properly uses his power, according to the law, to decide the case as he sees fit. All this bantering, personal attacking, crazy posting is emotions running out of control. It's up to the judge, we don't know #*@%!!! about how he will rule.

This change in terms could be some legal way to establish a new search approach? I'm purely speculating, but maybe if those asked to and chose to accept the terms would be considered to be using the new and improved search engine, in a legal sense. You know what? I'm not accepting and will see what happens. The saga continues....

I received an email yesterday, from GOOG, since my small business is registered with the adsense program, stating that as of April 23,2013 there will be improvements to the way their searchs are done. They give a 30 day grace period to accept the new terms. Could this be the workaround being put in place? At least in part? This is most likely what Larry Page was discussing the other day, at least in part. The legal aspect of this move is way over my head, so I won't even comment on it. Whether this is the next chapter in appeals court as it seems now, just don't know. Didn't want to post this, but thought it was necessary.
I don't think in terms of trust. More along the lines of how much of their own money is on the line. IMO, they did the secondary offering to allow for legal expenses, and look at what G has done. Call it stall, delay, willfully infringe or whatever, they have such deep pockets it's ridiculous. Fortunately, V has been doing well with the legal rulings, and if they hadn't been, I sure wouldn't be saying these things. There are multiple positive developments as you know, but insider buying would make me feel better now, although they certainly did and do, still need to pay for their legal expenses.
