Microsoft vs. Apple - Which Is Worth More? [View article]
You forgot to mention the China market which in itself makes your article worthless. Msft is in China and Apple is just getting into it. Why are people willing to pay a premium for Apple products? Because people love Apple products over Msft products (example the Zune) & at last check people do not like Msft products. You should not write articles anymore. How can you leave out China? PE's say a lot about products but you also failed to mention cash flow, one of the current metrics of valuing a stock, however if I was to buy I would buy Apple.
I do not own either stock nor do I own any Apple products.
Apple SEC Investigation: Rotten to Core [View article]
Why isn't the SEC going after the people who created all the financial products that got Wall Sinto this mess, the people who got the huge bonuses, some in the 100's of millions. What a joke out government agency's are, it's a disgrace to all American's, and the government agency's appear to be a WASTE of taxpayers money.
The SEC may be going after Apple because they need money and Apple has plenty of it (25 bil), it could be that simple.
Bloomberg's Premature Steve Jobs Obit: Why? [View article]
It appears to me that the lying, cheating, lowlife shorts are possibly at work here. There are no specific facts that S. Jobs has had a recurrence and for that matter that anything is seriously wrong with Jobs healthwise. Whoever put the article on the bloomberg terminal should be investigated buy the SEC (fraud) and FCC (wirefraud). I have contacted the SEC and FCC with all the articles I have read about this incident yesterday and today at:

If you believe this situation occurred due to fraud, or something similar, you should contact the SEC and FCC.
What's Up With 3G Performance in the iPhone? [View article]
Last week there were reports that the Blackberry Bold was experiencing similar connection problems as the iPhone, maybe it's not just an Apple iPhone problem. If you search Rimm's Blackberry you will see many problems, yet for some reason you rarely hear about them, looks like the shorts are at work.
Apple's Problems - Bad to the Core? [View article]
Part of Apples problem is what you mentioned - Rumors - With rumors of Jobs’ declining health, security bugs, ...(including this week’s pending class action lawsuit citing poor iPhone performance). Rumors are just that and have no basis in estimating a stocks worth. Notice how most rumors are negative and are usually found to be false, the shorts are at work here. The class action suit article title indicated that a class action suit had been filed, which in fact was false and it was just one person that filed a complaint, again the desperate shorts are at work. Later in the week there were reports that the new Blackberry Bold was having similar connection problems as the iPhone., so it appears the problem may not solely be with the iPhone.
Apple still tops the ACSI’s customer satisfaction survey — ten points higher than closest competitor, and yet your article starts out saying Apple is bad to the core and here you contradict your own article with documentation that Apple has great customer satisfaction rates, would the satisfaction rate be high if Apple had serious problems.
As a prior person stated Apples problems wil eventually be solved.
Another thought. Apples march quarter reported $1.16 however if you include the deferred income Apple's earnings would have been $1.45, approximately 25% higher. Those who complain about Apples high PE should consider the deferred income when calculating the PE for Apple which would yeild a much lower PE.
Surprise, you forgot to mention the Barron's news article today where the new BlackBerry Bold is having 3g connection problems similar to the iPhone. Maybe it's not an IPhone problem. Are you short Apples stock? Here's the article: "There are lots of people reporting on the spotty iPhone 3G reception issues and according to Barron’s it looks like the BlackBerry Bold may be experiencing those same 3G reception issues. The Bold is available only in a couple countries at the moment and isn’t yet available here in the U.S. so there is the possibility that the Bold’s software will be updated prior to the release.
According to the Citigroup analyst, the Bold does have an amazing display and updated BlackBerry software that adds HTML email and a better web browser. But the 4.5 software update (the Bold runs version 4.6) is available for some current devices and will be widely released for other devices and adds the HTML email, better browser, and video recording capability so there may not be a compelling reason to upgrade. I use my EDGE-enabled BlackBerry Curve and the Opera Mini browser and new BB 4.5 browser works quite well without 3G. In truth, I hardly notice that 3G is not supported on the device since email also seems very snappy. I tested the Sprint BlackBerry Curve and am not sold that 3G data is a compelling feature on a BlackBerry. 3G is a vital feature for phone calls though since you can answer a call even if you have an active data connection.
I haven’t seen a definite release date for the BlackBerry Curve on the AT&T network and the reported issues with the 3G radio may be delaying the release. There were reports that the Infineon chip was a possible cause of the problem. My search results indicate the BlackBerry Bold uses the Marvell Tavor platform for 3G so the problem with the iPhone may be on the software side, which means it can be fixed by Apple. ."

Apple Math: Market Share over Margins [View article]
Most people don't get it but you do. Here's an example: In Apple's March 2008 quarter Apple reported earnings of $1.16, however if you add in the deferred revenue the earnings become $1.45, a 20% increase. Now that's a blow out quarter.
Three Apple Fears That Were Blown Out of Proportion [View article]
All is well at Apple. This is no surprise for those who know how to interpret financial results and read everyday news. Cash flow is accelerating and phenominal. Mac sales are accelerating and now it appears iPhone sales will accelerate.
Bravo and cudos to the writer who understands that Apples earnings for the iPhone are not reflected in earnings, most analysts and writers don't get this. The earnings report reported in April where Apple reported $1.16 would have been $1.45 if iPhone sales would have been included.
Apple is the most innovative and admired USA company and its earnings hopefully will be reflected in years to come.
Apparently the writer like many others didn't read or listen to Apples conference call or read their financials. I've read similar articles from just about every article written on Apple for this quarter, that Apple had a bad quarter. Apple had a great quarter, it beat almost all analysts estimates handily. Apple beat on all metrics of income and units sold, and sold more iPods and Mac's then just about any analyst estimated and had their best quarter in their history, again. Why does Seeking-Alpha let such inaccurate articles be written. On sales they beat on earnings they beat by 11%, their margins were down a little which is to be expected from a company that continually innovates, then again what's wrong with almost 35% margins.
Where they missed was that they guided lower on the NEXT quarters analysts estimates probably because of costs for R&D, but this next quarters miss had NOTHING to do with the current quarter just reported. Learn how to read conference calls and financials before writing incorrect articles. Perhaps the writer has an alterior motive.
Apple had stellar results along with the Jobs in a bad economy, NO cancer by NYT article today possibly helped Apples recovery yesterday. NYT apparently leaked the info on NO cancer. Apple added $1.5B in cash for a total of almost 21B. With these earnings results the stock should have never gone down and should of went up substantially. Forget about the guidance, Apple always guides lower and were in a recession. With a recession why didn't analysts lower estimates instead of raising them, manipulation?
Almost daily banks report billions in losses and their stocks go up. Rimm missed and its stock went up right after earnings. Apple had stellar earnings & the stock went down, manipulation at its finest. Today Costco reported they will miss, even good companies are missing but Apple didn't. Apple beats in a terrible economy and the stock takes a hit, this is ridiculous and pure manipulation. Where is the SEC? Oh, their giving Fannie and Fredie a free shorting ride, how about the other stocks, manipulation at its best.
Apple is the best tech stock and they prove it each quarter, hang in there Apple will reward long term holders.
