Skins, Inc.: The Next Great Shoe Company?

Excellent read. Buying Sknn.ob at $3.00 with not a single pair of shoes sold in stores would have less odds than winning the lotto. Like you I just waited til I thought the company had disappointed shareholders and finally had a product that they could turn a profit on. Bought recently at their all time low stock price. Perhaps a quarter early as I do not think Q2 will have significant sales numbers but did not want to sit out knowing at the end of this month every whos who of footwear will be seeing touching feeling and buying their line for fall and winter. Thought I better get in before the fashion magazines pump this as the shoe to own.
PS did not buy until I could actually physically buy a pair of shoes in the store. Being a value investor this is one of only a handful of spec stocks I ever will purchase in my lifetime.

Skins Footware: A Next-Generation Crocs?

Originality aways wins over the fashion forward crowd. Like Crox and UGGS Skins has a shoe concept that most people have never seen before. I purchased a pair of Skins footwear and 2 weeks later purchased the stock because I like the shoes and I like the fact they were smart enough to patent their shoe. Protection from competition provides safety for shareholders.

Does Skins Inc. Fit the Mold?

Like all new companies Skins started off with unrealistic timelines and goals. Skins footwear is now at a stock price I feel comfortable owning in my portfolio. I watched this stock for over a year as they missed launches, product did not fit properly, no shoes were found in stores. Finally they have a good product which I personally bought 2 weeks ago, they fit fine, and jumped in before they attend the WSA shoe fair. These were not bumps they were potholes that this company hit. Moving forward I choose to invest in this spec stock as patent protection limits competition and already signed distribution contracts with Zappos. Their concept is no longer a fantasy and the reality of their low stock price was hard to ignore.

Skins: Just Another Silly Shoe Idea?

I sat on the sidelines until now. A year ago Skins Inc. shares were $2.00 with no shoes for sale. Now the Skins shoe is alive and well and the stock is .18 at close today SKNN.OB. I decided to buy stock before they attend WSA (World Shoe Shoe) in Las Vegas. With Distribution already in place with Zappos for fall I look forward to my buy low and sell higher position. Never one to buy on hype I bought a pair Sportie LA on Melrose Avenue 2 weeks ago and see a great market and future for this patent shoe.
Ps I wish CROX would have had a patent protection like Skins does then hardworking people like yourself would not have stock go from 38 to 8 since you wrote your article.
