International Dividend Investments Can Diversify Portfolio
Agree.Foreign funds give high dividends but most of them are heavily weighted in financials. Caution is warranted when picking up such funds.

      Indian Inflation Accelerates Again
Wage raises like 20+% for millions of government servants on top of the millions of $s loaned to farmers waived by banks are not good for India's future.

'Malaysiapore' ETFs Fade with Falling Growth
Agree.S'pore and Malaysia collaborate and work on many things together but Singapore is one step ahead of Malaysia always. Malaysians are trying to catch up but unable to so far due to many factors. For any investor looking for Asian emerging market exposure, Malaysia is a better bet than others.

The Latest ETF: Adding South Korea and Singapore to the Emerging Asia Mix
While the idea for this new ETF is good, do we really need any of these new ETFs that seem to garner a few million in assets?. Kind of like old wine in a new bottle.

Greenspan: Still Almost Childlike in His Idealism
When Uncle Alan retired, BusinessWeek had a cartoon where he was in the bathtub playing with toys like a small kid.:-)

We would be better off if he actually did that to kill time than to open his mouth on tv or write articles.

      Struggling ETFs
I think its unfair to list NETS etfs in this list even though they have very few assets.NETS launched a whole bunch of these country specific etfs like DAX for Germany recently. So it may take some time before they grow. What do other readers think?

Canadian National: The Best Railroad for This Recession
Agree.CNI is a well-run company. But they could do better like their competitor CP. CNI carries a lot of the natural resources and of course cars made by GM,Ford, etc. from Canada into the US. Go CNI !!

Van Eck's New Gulf States Index ETF
Besides what topax point out, most of the "companies" that are publicly listed in these countries are nothing more than pet projects for the sheiks and their family friends like sons, daughters, cousins, etc. Nobody knows the real finances of these companies except the insiders. So beware before jumping into those parts of the world.

ABB Perfectly Positioned to Benefit from Global Infrastructure Boom
I agree with MichaelSchmichael. While ABB has a great future I think the infrastructure boom has been over hyped in emerging markets. India for example is cutting down or postponing many infrastructure projects as it tries to control double digit inflation. So ABB will be impacted to some extent.

Time to Change Country Mix in World Market-Cap
I think most investors are heavily weighted in US stocks because they are forced to own them - either thru 52 plans as DrBagel points out, thru 401k or other plans. Or it is just "Financial Advisors" pushing the notion that they must own "US" company stocks because it is patriotic to do so and foreign stocks involve too many risks such as political, currency risk. There are plenty of opportunities outside of US. But most US investors are not aware of them. Somewhere I read an article all of us should go for 50% US and 50% non-US stocks in portfolio allocation.
