  • Competition Landscape Looks Much Brighter For Sunshine Heart After Stem-Cell Therapy Failure [View article]
. Its amazing how this Statistician/Economist called Pro bio with no medical background in his bio, has panicked stockholders of this fantastic, new biotech company NBS. NBS has superb accomplishment, advancements, separate independent divisions and outstanding PIPELINE. Pro Bio just had to drop a few negative-loaded words and, IMO, dubious comparative findings with statistical assumptions. Meanwhile, simultaneously Pro bio pushed, with accolades, Sunshine heart SSH which makes a single heart device? Which has no other PIPELINE shown on their site? Sunshine went up substantially today. simultaneously. NBS Short sellers were having a hayday.and dumping big positions; probably to buy tomorrow.and make another killing on depressed price and then do it all over again when it goes back up where it belongs? Then when another "Pro bio" SA type submits an assumptive negative Analysis will then the same thing happen all over again? .Where is that due diligence and independent research and cool headed analysis of investors? Pathetic ?

I agree with most of what you say but having the same problem yourself has motivated many to find a cure to eliminate the problem, throughout history.. How this could be a negative toward listing, as you infer, is quite puzzling and IMO, illogical? No offense. I hope Mr. Reynolds illness is cured and he can further assist in the development of this fine corporation. He had done a monumental job of good to society and the furthering of medical research.

  • InVivo Therapeutics: A Reality Distortion Field [View article]
Using the thesis of eliminate or curtail RDF from the formula of predictability towards success and new breakthroughs, would be a serious disservice of possible limitations of potential and future development. The concept of risk vs. return is weighing the pros and cons plus the crucial need and the humanitarian element of mprovement to ease afflictions, all necessary elements to medical advancement. The last items. are those which brings hope to those recently spinal-cord-injured and those long suffering, and is hard to put a $ value on the intangible...

Human hope greatly boost success in outcomes of serious medical procedures and treatment. It also helps the afflicted hold-on in hopes of a cure from medical advancement into the unknown to break their chains of despair and immobility. Reward to the risk investor is there if success is achieved , and to the afflicted a "life.", and to society a vast advancemnt in health and Medicine

Don't dismiss research into the unknown just for dollar rewards with the least risk. Medicine is an art , Science aids the art to cure the sick and afficted. Shorting this stock for selfish, quick buck return or because of influence of others to do the same , the lemming mentality, is foolish. Statistics are very maleable to form any predetermined outcome. Statistical evaluation and assumptions based on unrelated research comparisons or temporary setbacks along the way, would kick the traces and deter possible success and set back a final cure.

Quick-buck return investment is pure casino style gambling and not due diligence investment toward Alpha..

  • How Much Should Microsoft Pay For Nokia? [View article]
Microsoft better keep their eye on the ball. Hewlett Packard still wants to be in the phone business, confirmed today, to compete with Apple and they might buy Nokia right out from under Microsoft. "He (or She) who hesitates when a golden opportunity knocks is lost" should be MIcrosoft's Mantra, especially when Windows 8 is shaking-up Europe and the rest of the connected world. Google is stuck with Android.and they too won't waste time. Balmer are you listening????

  • Huawei says in an e-mailed statement it "has no plans" to acquire Nokia (NOK +4.6%). Shares have given back a big chunk of their earlier gains, but they still closed up sharply. Huawei consumer group chairman Richard Yu qualified his remarks about his company being willing to buy Nokia by suggesting Nokia's commitment to Windows Phone could be an issue. "Whether Windows Phone will be successful is difficult to say ... It has a very small market share." Huawei launched the W1, a low-end WP8 device, earlier this year. [View news story]
Remember you have to have the gold to buy those Food Stuff making assets and essential hard assets. Money in "fluff" volitile tech, as you call it, is where they get the quick bucks and thus our Gold. Beware of the new Chi-ComTrojan industrial army or you better bone up on your mandarine and learn to speak it fluently.

Huawei is hitched to the Android OS, Big time the latter owned by Google, you know, MSFT's big competitor..
But, Watchout! Microsoft Window 8 OS is a big threat and will overtake Android quickly. IMO, the coming Win 8.1 is extremely even more versatile and more well thought out than Android... The comprehensive Window update 8.1 later in month, will resolve any navigation problems and wll make it even more user-friendly Any current dislikes of former Win 7 users will fade. A host of new Apps are coming, too.

Richard Yu, IMO, is playing a crafty game of trying to shake confidence in Nokia's potential for surpassing his company. Nokia is a Huge challenge to Huawei's big investment in Android. Beware of the deviousness of China's Corporate leaders. They are great strategists and confidence men (women, too) and are out to conquer any potential threats from the West and be Numero Uno uber allis!

Wu fears the pending Nokia devastation to Android and Huawei. IMO, he is deliberately dropping phony 'slips of the tongue' depth charges in hopes of creating a foolish belief of Nokia demise. Sinking Nokia's ship, its threat and its competition, is his mantra!

Fool you once shame on you, Fool you twice is assured if you believe Yuis bearing you any gifts.. LOL.

  • I'll Buy Nokia If The Company Dumps Windows And Elop [View article]
Saints says he likes the company (Nokia) but he enjoys driving knives into it and warning "beware". With friends like Saints, Nokia doen't need enemies. Elop is flying high and got rid of lugheads in management who brought the company down because of their lack of vision. Elop has vision and is proving it. Stay with Elop and win. Stay away from self-canonized saints, preaching a gospel of disdain, doubt and darkness. IMO, This will be a dynamite quarter for sales and will knock the stock price out of the ballpark.

  • Here's Why Alcatel-Lucent Could Double This Year [View article]
Never happen!! Oracle is not stupid. Neither are Euro . Corps. IMO, Look out for the Chinese. They will gut them and take their technology, if they can get their hands on it cheap.. Thus, without cyber stealing it? .
Alcatel is saddled with the Social dictates of their Govt. and Minister Holland, in excessive taxation and rules of worker's employment . Old technologies are maintained by Govt. directive to keep their employees in them, even though they are not profitable and have minimal future value. American Corporate Operation methods are frowned upon. Divestiture to other Euro. Corps of parts not profitable, is the best way to success. Their new Chief, Michel Combes, is a bright light and hope to reorganize and hone their future success. It will fly under his leadership, that is , if the Government doesn't throw rocks in the road.

  • Where was this story 50% ago? Its cover showing a tombstone engraved "R.I.P. PC," Barron's says DELL and H-P (HPQ) will fade from view. Next up for trouble could be Microsoft (MSFT), seemingly cheap at 9X 2013 earnings, but which reported sales at its Windows unit off by a third Y/Y after backing out pre-sales for Windows 8. The world awaits the launch of Surface at midnight on Friday. More winners/losers here[View news story]
How many people have been mugged for a PC or Laptop? How many people have been coerced by Madison Ave.'s created lust for " the new PC that was bought just last year, and the new model has some new feature you can't do without ", like Smartphones hype-mania? As a 20 year subscriber to Barrons, I use my own judgement and weigh pro's and con's and other sources. Barrons is not infalable, far from it. Just a food for thought. PC are here to stay for the rest of the decade and most likely beyond. To soon to hang Crepe paper.

  • CEOs seeking a tax holiday on their overseas earnings send a not-so-subtle message to Congress: We can spend the money here or we can spend it over there. In a letter to be released today, the CEOs write that “the simple truth is that the longer we wait, the more money will be spent overseas." Among the signees are top execs from MSFT, ORCL, CSCO, PFE and AMGN.  [View news story]
You have to think in another dimension and futuristically. Research and Delvopment here, instead of overseas, will bring new products and jobs created , here. Why foolishly leave it over there, where it could be in harms way? Especially precarious situation, with all the Middle East, African and Asian anti-Americanism, unrest and turmoil, we are currently experiencing, Sadly, we seem unable to cope with it all, at present? When needed to create, here, the funds would be at hand, here, to do so. Simple as that..
