Second incident found in less than a week! I think the one above has been yanked.

The above antics had been mentioned in various sources very soon after the policy change announcements. Why was nothing done?

The seller's fears are very justified. This is the second incident of feedback abuse I have found in less than a week.

I have time to audit the site; why don't the executives? Isn't this part of what they are being paid to do?

Had Ebay taken the high road everyone would have pitched in and tried 10 times harder.

They chose either through ignorance or with malicious intent to do otherwise. Neither of which illustrates to me any TRUE LEADERSHIP qualifications.

Enron believed in the disruptive theories. Worked really well didn't it.

There is still too much negative press. Where there is smoke is the fire ever far behind?

I don't know about the knick knacks holding on. I collect depression glass. I have noticed a 10 to 20% decline in listings in this area and the items that are listed have a much higher rate of NOT being real depression glass.

      bookn2bid,
I don't care, don't worry. I am very used to Ebay yanking most of my devil's advocate posts. But, that was very gracious of you to let me know.
I'm an occasional buyer on Ebay, but their policy changes and the implications of them repulse me. I also just happen to be hard headed and not the easiest mark in the world.

I'm just doing my small part to try to get everybody thinking to reign this arrogant slimy company in.

And on that note, look what I found:

      forums.ebay.com/db2/th...

This is a link to the seller's central board. Has all sorts of useful links inside.

Ebay has no real regard for the buyers either, unless of course you spend alot.
I use all this chaos to teach me lessons in how NOT to run a business. I don't get the attitudes. I've been in management and am probably what is known as a hardnosed boss. I want what I want. But I have NEVER asked anyone to do anything that I would not do in a heartbeat. It is a very do able thing to conduct business with dignity and honor.

The top tier of Ebay doesn't know the definitions of these words.

The feedback and DSR changes also create major possible PayPal restrictive measures including Paypal holds on moneys paid.

This can put sellers at increased risks for lost income. Seller protections can be impacted. Tie this in with the increases in UPI's and NPB's and the alleged non response from Ebay and disaster is brewing for all parties.

There are too many horror story reports about Paypal for me to be willing to dismiss.
There are too many new ID's seeking assistance in the AC's for me to deem Ebay as a good steward of their users.
Feedback is still being misused and by taking a legal CYA approach Ebay has demonstrated the same traits that they supposedly find destructive in a business environment.

I see no true leadership capabilities among any of the constantly at odds with each other factions within the entirety of the site.

WHAT IS SO HARD ABOUT REQUIRING PEOPLE TO BE RESPECTFUL TO EACH OTHER?

      I JUST DON"T GET IT.

WHAT IN THE WORLD IS EVERYONE SO PATHETICALLY AFRAID OF?

As far as the legalities, .... Just because everyone is doing something, it doesn't make it right.

Maybe it would have helped if a Retail expert had been groomed for the position instead of a consultant.

      Ties into the old addage:

Those who can do. Those who can't teach.

With the new way of calculating feedback it does also make it harder to judge the quality of a seller.

Unfortunately very early one I had my christening with a nasty retalitory Grade B power seller. Without their nastiness a tool has been removed from buyers.

Terms like STUPID LIAR , etc were a wonderfull way of letting me know that a seller had next to no class. Without allowing them to spew and with Ebay unable or unwilling to institute customer service for ALL USERS, my protections as a buyer have also been diminished.

I am not willing to risk huge amounts of money for the likes of Norrington to pass some sort of worthiness judgment in my favor and allow me to call the company. First off I do not need anyone's permission. As a publicly traded company both your adrress and phone number are public record. If a matter was important enough I have every confidence in my ability to figure out a way to get through.

The policies are NOT FAIR accross the board and I fear that they will only tend to draw self absorbed insecure buyers who buy big ticket items for show to bolster weak self esteems. Have fun dealing with well to do self righteous buyers.

Does JD have an older sister? That could explain alot psychologically.
