Five Sophisticated Gold and Silver Investment Strategies for 2009 [View article]
Agree with BrucePile's comments and would apply same thinking to silver miners. Look at CDE, I believe the biggest silver producer on the planet; it traded down to a stinking .38/share about a month ago and had been on a steep downward spiral for most of a year. Suddenly 3-4 weeks later it's trading @ .90 and looking firm. Many other very attractive charts showing confirmed breakouts--TRE, SLW, ABX, SA. No need to play with the more speculative cash-strapped juniors when you have many quality producers still trading at firesale prices. I think Jim Rogers has said he expects silver stocks to perhaps outperform gold going forward. Many of the miners were down close to 90% YTD a month ago. Talk about attractive risk/reward. Only a matter of time before the hedgies and daytraders start piling into this sector IMO.
