A Stockholder, and Merchant, Loses Confidence in eBay

"This article is way too personal, fact is, ebay is making more money"

Please provide a source showing ebay making more money. Sell through rate is down, stock is headed south and listings are puffed up will buy.com's auctions, many of which have no product.

Wouldn't it be refreshing if ebay actually caught someone without users making numerous complaints before action is taken or the police enter the picture. They have never been pro-active about scams on either side of the transaction. Either way they get their cut.

I held on hoping the bigheaded, pigheaded man in charge saw this wasn't working. Today the leak that ebay will soon collect a % of the postage of a transaction has nailed it shut for me.

Wingo is a wingnut. Buy.com has over a half a million listings running right now. Overpriced in comparison to the same Items on Amazon. Thats the new type of seller their attracting or courting. Their sell through rate is under 3%, what a joke. They obviously arent paying listing fee's. Well maybe if their going for bankruptcy. ebay is killing the golden goose when they shove the small sellers out. I never went to ebay for new widgets I could get locally, cheaper and without postage.

eBay: Expectations Rising Heading Into Wednesday Earnings

Having spent the last few weeks in the ebay forum seller central I'm having a very hard time buying into some of these estimates. Many users both buyers and sellers have left. No one seems to be selling much. The constant glitches as well as the new best match have buyers not being able to find what they are looking for. If the report shows these estimates are correct I'd still only believe it if the numbers were broken apart between ebay and paypal.

Wells Fargo (WFC) will become the largest U.S. bank by branches with its bid for Wachovia (WB), after Citigroup (C) withdrew from compromise negotiations late yesterday on concerns about the quality of some of Wachovia's assets. Wells Fargo, with a bid valued at $11.4B, expects the purchase to be completed by the end of the year, and denies it will have to absorb assets shakier than originally thought. Government considers next steps. As the financial crisis continues to worsen, the U.S. government is considering two dramatic steps to turn around, or at least slow, the damage: guaranteeing billions of dollars in bank debt and temporarily insuring all U.S. bank deposits. The moves, which would mark the government's most extensive intervention to date, are in discussion stages only. Credit stays frozen. As frozen credit markets refuse to thaw, the cost of default protection on corporate bonds reaches new global records amid investor concerns the credit crisis will trigger corporate failures as companies struggle to finance their businesses. Interbank lending remains limited, and borrowing from the Fed's expanded discount window continued its trend of setting new highs every week, as the total daily average rose to $420.2B vs. $367.8B last week. Computer Sciences (CSC) -- This is a company that was going to be bought, but they passed up the chance. Now I don't want to buy it."
