  • Arena CEO Retires- What It Means For The Equity [View article]
This is great news but you try to put the negative spin on it as usual.

We did develop a formal and public strategy, we just didn't share it with you.

There is no need for a cheap buyout. That is not very smart talk on your part.
Arena does have a very good pipeline and there is no reason for the interim management team to give it away. They will find in due time and it might take 2-3 months for that to happen a solid CEO that will be able to effectively communicate the very real value of the pipeline to WS.

What you suspect is totally wrong. We are way smarter than you think Spencer, so I would stick your "suspect" comment where the Sun don't shine. We know full well it is going to take time to get the Arena ship righted. We also know it would be very stupid to think it would happen by the end of October, only a know-nothing would make that comment.

You are a very smart person and I have agreed with a lot of your articles but I don't appreciate what I consider BS comments that you are making in response to a dummy that forgets that Arena has been around for almost 19 years with Jack as the helm and that donkey wants to keep him around!

There is no mistake whatsoever in Jack resigning, anyone saying different is a dumb bunny!!

  • Arena-Belviq Sales Dip Closer To Qsymia Than Is Comfortable [View article]
Arena does not have 5 drugs in THEIR pipeline! Your statement is misleading and not accurate.

Roivant is totally responsible for the development of neloterasin. Arena is not spending one penny on that development. It should not be counted in Arena's pipeline at all. If Jack Thief for his purposes of spinning wants to mistakenly count it, then you shouldn't compound it by making the same mistake.

Roivant is a completely independent company that is well run and they purchased the rights to nelotensarin (sp) lock, stock and barrel. It is now in their pipeline.

Ildong is responsible for the current development of Temanogrel. Arena is not spending any money at this time on Temanogrel. Only if the Phase 2 POC is successful will it wind up back at Arena. If not, it will be flushed down the toilet.

760-271-8494 if you want to address me Walsher and tell me in a voice to voice conversations the alleged wrong and libelous comments you are making about me. You don't have the courage to do it. You are all talk and must have the yellowest streak running down your back! If you won't make the phone call it proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are a bona fide coward afraid of your own shadow. I'm not a message board bully by any stretch of the imagination Walsher, that is what cowards like you resort to when you get disagreed with about your comments. You just can't take being disagreed with over your more than wrong comments about anything.

You have only proved that know how to write libelous comments but when it comes to standing behind them like a man, you run like the little baby that you really are in real life. You ain't tough at all, you are just a word that begin with a "P".

Have a crappy life being a coward!

Who cares what I say about him on the YMB. That is the board you are referring to Walsher or is it Stalker. As someone else stated, if you want to make a case about what one posts on the YMB, well there are thousands and thousands of meaningless drivel posted on that board. Essentially, those posts don't mean anything and the fact that you take the time to read them makes me questioned your state of mind?

Regarding your "taste of our own medicine comment"? What does that less than intelligent comment mean? Nothing is the right answer.

If Jack left, there would be a celebration, particularly if replaced by Tina Nova.

You would get down on your knees and thank us because she would get Arena turned around in a hurry. Let me repeat that so even a stalker like you can understand - turn Arena around in a hurry.

See, you would rather things stay on course with Jack at the helm, at least that is what you imply. Well Walsher, that course has not done so well over the last few years. Anyone with a brain knows that a situation like that calls for change and it is needed change. Jack had his chance to sell 334 on the CC and failed miserably by not keeping it a simple message instead of the convoluted details he gave that left the audience looking around for coffee to wake them up.

Actually I have written Jack and spoke with Jack several times and have always spoke my mind but in a very professional manner in which in the "real" World how I conduct myself. I have had a very successful career and you would be more than pained to know that my reputation in the Professional Real World is stellar!

I know that causes you heartburn but takes tums twice a day.

Well Walsher, I guess you never thought that maybe I have other things to do with my life other than stalking a person like you are doing on a message board.

Instead of worrying about me, people should maybe worry about you. Since you have a bad habit of stalking! Nothing more loose cannon than that.

I don't have a bunker, I don't need an alias to hide behind. if you want to see the many ways I contribute to society as opposed to you stalking me on a message board.

You are nothing, hear that Walsher - Nothing! You contribute nothing to society, nothing to anyone. You are just a plain and simple loser of losers.
760-271-8494 if you want to discuss things like a real human being instead of the stalker that you really are Walsher.

Well Mr. Roaddriver, you really have not paid attention to posts going back about a year. Your post clearly shows that. BTW, what is your real name, what can we address you by Mr. Roaddriver? Why do you need an alias?

Hiding something we don't know about as your real life person?

When you answer those questions with serious answers, maybe someone will pay attention to you.

All an intelligent person needs to do is look at the YMB as an example. No, this is just a personal attack against me. Nothing more and nothing less.

Two posters both that have been stalking me here and on the IVB under different alias. They don't have the backbone to post their real name.

They certainly don't have the backbone to pick up the phone and call me at 760-271-8494 to say to me directly what they write here under the protection of an alias. They will make up all sorts of stuff about me of why they wouldn't call, but that it comes down to them just having a long yellow stripe going down their respective backs.

For the record, the meeting did take place so it was not BS and never was BS. They post BS, I don't.

Walsher - in words that you can understand, you have attacked me personally for the last time on this forum. You have a nasty habit of sticking your nose in other people's business. You make assumptions out of thin air.

Have you ever met me in person? If the answer is no, I rest my case. Maybe someone set you up to post these personal attacks. I am asking you in a very nice way right now, if I need to resort to other means legally, I will.

If you keep the responses to the topic at hand without adding insults or allegations where you have no personal knowledge of the situation, then we are fine, but when you venture off into personal attacks, you are out of bounds.

The Doctors got paid $35,000.00 for their inaccurate report and illegally created their own label without discussing with the FDA. The article should have been retracted and Arena should have done a stronger job of making sure the false labeling was removed from the second article. Again, if you trace the money trail, they got paid $35K for the hit piece.

The meeting was not dangerous and the mentality is not predictable.

Are you sure they are new? Not doubting you one bit, but have not seen any announcement on a new TV ad. The last ad I saw on the Hallmark Channel about 6 weeks ago was the original TV ad about willpower.

Someone else just reported seeing an ad on FOX as well but did not provide the detail you have. Will check around to see if they have changed the ad, but agree that if they made the changes that you have indicated, then that is a step in the right direction.

It is not a claim but a reality. It will not backfire at all. Jack is 70+ and needs to step down and there are several legitimate reasons I can name for why he should do it. There will be no demands but a strong conversations on what actions steps need to be taken. BTW, it has nothing to do with being underwater at all, at is the least of it. It has all to do with Arena's standings with WS and if the pipeline is going to get the right valuation over the coming months, a much better spokesperson is needed at the helm.

In addition, how could the situation backfire than what is happening now? It is not a revolt, we are not looking for Arena to be dismantled just for Jack to agree to step down in a reasonable timeframe by announcing a succession plan. Most very good public companies have succession plans in their governance. It is purely business and nothing personal.

  • Arena - Belviq Sales Dip Again. We Have Seen The Peak In 2015 [View article]
Belviq works and that is not the issue at all. It has been proven by a large number of patients that take Belviq that it works. I know at least 60 people who have lost from 30-85 pounds on Belviq. So, why don't we stop with the it don't work stuff. It is old and apparently you don't have any other words you can type on your keyboard.

What doesn't work is you saying it doesn't work. You have no proof and the issue is not efficacy of Belviq at all. What is the issue is that Consumer Awareness of Belviq and the other weight loss drugs among the general population which includes all of the overweight and obesity patients is very poor. None of these companies are even close to household names including Eisai. Along with the very poor consumer awareness is doctor reluctance which is also tied to number of patients asking for scripts for Belviq from their Doctors. If Consumer Awareness was 10% or greater, many more people would be asking their Doctors for scripts and even reluctant doctors would in most cases write those scripts.

But when you have at best 2.5% consumer awareness, there is not going to be people needing to lose weight beating down the doors of their doctor's for scripts.

So get a new keyboard that allows you have a more open mind and allows you to think beyond the more than wrong: "it doesn't work" stuff.

  • Arena Pharmaceuticals' (ARNA) CEO Jack Lief on Q2 2015 Results - Earnings Call Transcript [View article]
Partnership or buyout will happen in less than two years.

One of the more important things said on the call:

"Physicians that we talked with are enthusiastic about S1P1 therapy for the treatment of UC, and note that APD334 could address significant unmet needs, given its [indiscernible] administration and emerging clinical profile. The global prevalence of UC is estimated to be approximately 1.5 million patients, which includes an estimated 700,000 to 900,000 people in the United States. In dollar terms, the global market in 2014 totaled approximately $3.6 billion.

Our key opinion leaders indicate that S1P1 therapies may be used in a significant proportion of moderate to severe UC patients. They believe that the UC market has room for multiple oral competitors and view APD334 as having the potential to be either first to market or a competitive fast follower to Ozanimod. Based on its impressive lymphocyte lowering, we believe that APD334 could lend itself to additional autoimmune indications, which would contribute additional value over the patent life of the drug, which is currently projected to be 2035."

Ikarus - this is libel. Arena did not lie about anything. The class action lawsuits were all thrown out. To the moderator, please remove his libelous comments that have no basis in fact.
