Options Trader: Outlook for Turnaround Tuesday
the bank injection was a recovery from a flatline and will not start a recovery yet. still in intensive care. the earnings will probably wipe out any gains on Monday.

short term fishing is the key.

      Preview of the Bank Buy-In
Good or bad, US is playing catch up with Europe.

JPM probably don't want to take part since it claims to be the prudent banker.

Some form of control, similar to UK, is required for injection.

I'm bullish on MS after MUFG deal was announced. MUFG closed the deal with major discount to the market price and off course MUFG went thru MS books and saw value.

becoming part of bank of UK off course will make it impossible to fail unless UK ceased to exist or the sterling notes starts to have several 0's after it.

shorts aren't the culprits, but taking advantage of the situation. a certain way shorts are wake up call otherwise the situation could have even snowballed bigger.

policy and policy banks is what caused the current crisis. Chinese banks used to run on policy and lend blindly to comply with policy hence massive looses.

rating agencies should make only current statements and not future statements since ratings should only be at current analysis and not based on predictions - are rating agencies good are predicting!?

just close the agencies down and let the market decide on the risks hence the price they are willing to pay!

What are McDonald's and Wal-Mart Telling Us?
MCD in USA is still expensive compared to HK where $3 will buy you a big mack, fries & coke and we are pegged to the US$.

Apart from point 4, I agree with you other points. Another point to consider is fundamentals to stock price, are they still too high? How much debt due they hold?

A discount clothing chain filed for bankruptcy in HK today fallout from the credit crisis. Got a loan call from its banks after institutional investors pullout and stock price went into free fall. 400 staff left in the cold and shops owing rent in HK, impact to PRC shops still unknow.

      Apple Isn't Recession-Proof
Yep, Apple fans have already bought the latest Apple offerings. Yet to turn over to Apple fans are being swayed by lower prices of makers providing comparable if not better functioning toys. Like me, I bought 2 mini-notes for a total $1000 in the last 12 months and considering an iPhone, but carrier package is 100% higher to take full advantage of the iPhone. Competition is very strong and difficult to pay being kool!

Losses due to stock price, failures and forced marriages. LEH is being felt by Hong Kong public who had invested in mini-bonds and financial companies taking losses on their investments in LEH and WM. Resulting in severe stock price drops of financial companies since people don't know how much local banks have invested in US/ European banks.
