Why is Disney Failing in Hong Kong?
I haven't been to any Disney Land, neither in America nor Hong Kong. As a Chinese, I am very interesting in the HK Disney Land because it's not coming out what it is predicted. It was a disaster when it was opened in 2005. It couldn't accomandate its demand and turned down many tourists. It's not time to critic what it was, but it is time to plan how HK Disney Land can perform better and meet tourists' expectation. China opened its market for almost 30 years, so tourism it's not a new industry in China, especially in the past 10 years. I am amazed that Guangzhou has developed many new attractions in the past 10 years; it was only 2 theme parks in Guangzhou that were similar to each other. HK Disney Land has a western theme compare to other parks in China which is very fascinated to children, but it lacks an excitement to adults. Parents are the one who is paying for trips; many times they will compare economic benifics while going on vacation. Yes, Chinese personal GPD is rising, but still, many can't afford to go on such a trip.
