Just started investing a few years ago - before that it was deferred comp in mutual funds. Now they're rolled over and self-directed. I'm retired but not dying so growth is still important. I'm comforted if a lower rate of appreciation is offset by happy dividends. I'm an investor, not a trader.
Started at Motley Fool as like-minded, focused, and understandable. I have since found Seeking Alpha and the cast of Dividend Growth Investor contributors. I've found a place where the principals are understandable, make sense, provide useable guidance, and did I mention make sense?
It's working OK but should be working better. I'm learning and working on language skills. At first nothing made sense because I
didn't understand the terms (meaning and application). It's getting better.
