Totally agree with you.
There are something like 8000 banks in the U.S. so a few hundred, including the 'too big to fail' ones are closed. So what?
Yes, the stockholders are wiped out and creditors are pretty much stiffed. certainly that group of people will suffer but I think that is a small price to pay for cleaning the environment.
Just why are these banks 'too big to fail'? Is it because they have powerful friends in the government?
The 'good' banks would benefit from this, gaining depositors and increasing business, as capitalism intended.
I sure don't like the way the government is handling all this with my, my children's and my grandchildren's assets.
