I have been long gold via GLD and EGO for 3 weeks now and short the euro via DRR in a pairs trade. It's nice to finally have something work.


The way I see it if gold were to fall the dollar would have to strengthen so my DRR would hedge losses. If we keep seeing the dollar go up and gold rise as well then I am just going to sit back and make some cash. ]]> Wed, 18 Feb 2009 14:38:39 -0500

As I type I am trying to decide if I should sell my TBT holding but when I see yields this low I think we have a bubble in treasuries. I do like LQD here as I think investment grade corporate yields will fall and just bought some today.
