Contradictions in the Solar Market

According to DOE, there are 104 nuclear power facilities in USA with average capacity of 1 GW producing 20% of total USA electrical needs. This past month it was disclosed that 24 of those generators may have insufficient cooling water for continuous operation. Only offsetting those with solar panels would require 24 GW of solar panels.

Total global energy needs exceed 84 TW ( 84,000 GW),,, it will be many years of production to achieve even 25% of these requirements.
