      Financial Fears Sweeping the Globe
The jump in foreclosures is just beginning. When the multitude of resets begin in October, look for keys to come flying into loan servicers. The best place to be for continued employment will be in loss mitigation, residential home security, asset recovery/disposition and foreclosure/trustee services. Wonder now how all of this problem was caused by the twenty-three year old "mortgage brokers" at New Century or did they have help from some of the wizzards of Wall Street?

Lies, Damn Lies, and Median House Prices
Cogent comments. You should follow Gary Watts and the Orange County (CA) Board of Realtors and the NAR's unrealistically positive comments about the turnaround. Spin masters at best, they mislead their clients as to the true nature of the dangers that still exist in the residential housing marketplace. We are nowhere near the bottom, and inf act, face the greatest peril yet as the sub-prime and Alt-A resets trigger more foreclosures and short sales destroy the equity in homes with prime mortgages.

      Pending Home Sales Down 19.6%
Thank you for finally exposing the NAR for its deceptive, overly optimistic spinning of what has become the greatest meltdown in residential housing. Realtors drinking the NAR Koolaid and encouraging their clients to either buy now or hold listing prices at the current asking price are only diminishing their credibility and not acting in their clients best interests. The market has a long way to go before bottoming out. Now that buyers have to actually qualify (what a unique concept) for home loans, prices have to decline by up to forty percent in most markets to generate afordibility balance. Just look at the ratio of "qualified buyer" incomes to mean home pricing.
