  • "We have some incredible plans that we have been working on for a while," says Tim Cook (AAPL) at an AllThingsD conference talk. Some of those plans could still involve a TV - Cook reiterates the market is of "great interest" and that the current experience is outdated (John McCain seems to agree). Cook also: 1) Declares Google Glass to be a niche product, while adding (in a possible iWatch hint) the broader wearable computing market is a very interesting area. 2) States Apple will likely offer more developer options for customizing iOS, but wants to preserve the user experience. 3) Once more hints Apple isn't opposed to a bigger iPhone per se (previous), only one that doesn't meet its standards. Tim Cook is doing a fine job as head of the corp., what Apple needs is a better front man. Someone that can express some confident excitement about the company. Whoever is in charge of new products and R&D needs some help.

  • "Something big is about to happen" that involves an Apple (AAPL) product, claims a source. The source adds she's seen a major increase in Apple-related auditing and customs paperwork, and is positive it has nothing to do with MacBooks or iPads. Hummmmm, customs. Right away you think that maybe the market in Mainland China has opened, but then you realize that iPhones are made in Shenzen, China. • Apple: Profiting From The Pullbacks [View article]
With an average P/E ratio of 21.25 over the past 5 years, a good quarterly report expected, and some new product introductions (with expected good results), I would think we would see a price increase going into earnings. Does anyone know how much option expirations affect those prices today?

  • Apple: Here It Comes [View article]
Any time a class leader in development, execution, and satisfaction of users leads every competitor and continues that innovation - we have a company well worth MORE than an 18 P/E ratio. Look at all the wanna-be companies with high flyer P/E ratios. How can you even compare? Throw in the fact that there is no debt, plenty of cash, and now even dividends are being paid and you have a winner.
